How to Enter into the Revealed Knowledge of the Glory of God?

The glory of God intervenes and is manifested on earth through the understanding proclaimed. The transition from the anointing to the glory of God is awakening in the present generation a hunger and a thirst to come to live indelibly in the presence of God.

What is the glory of God?

In Hebrew there is a word that defines as: “kabod”, which comes from the root “kabéd” this concretely means weight or wealth. This word was used in ancient times to describe a very rich, famous man with a great reputation, and also to represent God.

Others denoted are honor, strength, power, environment, majesty, beauty, recognition, holiness, greatness and magnificence. In the original Greek of the New Testament, the word used is doxa, whose personification alludes to fame, reputation, abundance, wealth, dignity, splendor, and honor.

That is, fundamental of glory, both in Hebrew and in Greek, contains or involves everything that God is, with all his attributes, virtues, character, nature, and perfection. The glory of God is the essence and characteristic of what he is and his very presence.

The glory of God is the evident and real expression of his existence impacting the physical senses. It is God making himself palpable. In the old testament it manifested itself in the form of a cloud, called “shekinah” which symbolizes “He who lives”.

This is personalized to God indwelling in your development; it represents the immediate presence of God that transcends. This means that God externalizes himself in the physical realm, passes from the spiritual world to the natural world. Shekinah is made up of the shakán root that includes dwelling stably. The greatest desire and the perfect will of God has always been to dwell, rest, live among and with his people.

Signs of God’s glory on earth

  • God manifested his glory through Christ

Jesus Christ came to manifest the glory of the Father which Adam lost; and through his death and resurrection he led us back into the dimension of God’s glory, so that we can move forward today, as Adam did in the beginning.

“But we see him who was made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, crowned with glory and honor, because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for all. Because it suited him for whose sake are all things, and by whom all things hold together, who will bring many sons to glory.” (Hebrews 2:9-10)

Jesus bore the weight of sin, without being a sinner so that we could get a part of the glory. All that the Father is—virtues, attributes, character, nature, power, authority, and grace—was manifested by the Son on earth. Furthermore, Jesus covenanted to reveal those who obey him and his father.

  • God made his glory visible to the people of Israel

Thus it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and by night the appearance of fire. (Numbers 9:16)

God presented His glory to the people of Israel as a cloud and a pillar of fire; the cloud sheltered them from the burning desert temperatures during the day, and the fire fueled them at night, when temperatures drop to freezing.

Under that glory or “shekinah” considerable supernatural events originated: “the red sea parted before them, the manna day by day came from heaven, and the shoes never wore out; in forty years there were no patients”; God provided water from the rock; the giants did not manage to enter, and many other supernatural events.

The glory of God likewise was externalized as a cloud, when the temple that Solomon built was consecrated; this was a visible sign that Jehovah was living in that place.

  • God Supernaturally Presents Himself to Abraham

The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, being in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran. (Acts 7:2)

The physical contemplation or visitation of the glory of God was what transmuted Abraham forever. He transformed his priorities, his motives, his purposes and his life completely. This caused him to go after the Promised Land.

In the same way, today, everyone who has this experience; a visit from the glory of God must be forever reformed. These are the men who receive a real revelation from God and transfer the glory to this natural dimension.
How to enter the realm of revelation and the manifestation of his glory?

Scripture certifies that the earth is filled with the glory of God, but the input frequency to see it spread out on the natural plane is revelation, not reason. It is unquestionable that the presence of God is everywhere but it is not manifested everywhere.

Holy, holy, holy, Jehovah of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory. (Isaiah 6:3)

As we noted in the previous verse, when God created the heavens and the earth he filled them with His glory. However, the significant point that I wish to emphasize is found in the first chapter of the book of Genesis, which mentions that before God began creation, He sent His Holy Spirit to create a field of His own energy –His glory- , so that then the creation would be possible.

How to enter the revealed knowledge of the glory of God?

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14)

The word “knowledge” used in the previous verse is the Hebrew word “yada” which personifies perceiving, understanding, obtaining knowledge. In the same way, it represents knowing a person in intimacy, “as used in Genesis 4:1 where sexual intimacy between Adam and Eve is defined.”

In Greek, “knowledge” can be interpreted as “gnosis” or as “epignosis”. The first is scientific or theoretical knowledge, while the second refers to empirical or practical knowledge; epignosis is to recognize or be recognized, it is to enter into an intimate relationship with the object to be intimated.

If we understand that the earth is full of the glory of God, then what is needed to see the demonstrations is revealed knowledge, which begins in the spirit when the intimate relationship with God is achieved. In this way, knowledge is revealed by the Holy Spirit to live it and experience it, it is not to remain as an intellectual and completely mental knowledge.

On what basis does the glory of God operate?

This symbolizes that God does what he wants, when he wants and how he wants. At this time we have a habit of not giving the Holy Spirit freedom to exercise his divine sovereignty in our personal lives, much less in the church.

That is why we attend monotonous services where nothing supernatural occurs. Hence, our priority should always be that the Holy Spirit can manifest God’s sovereignty and do what He wants.

Do not rush to leave his presence, nor persist in a bad thing; because he will do everything he wants. (Ecclesiastes 8:3)

Jesus is the head of the church, which means that it is he who takes the initiative for management and moves at his complete will, as he wants. More however, on some occasion perhaps God does not initiate the management. When this happens, it is better that in obedience we do what he already commanded us, making it clear that we know what he ordered, and that we are not going to improvise something just to get out of the matter.

The Scripture shows King Saul waiting for the prophet Samuel to offer sacrifice to Jehovah, but since he did not arrive, he decided that he would do it; that is disobedience. It is not what I want to point out. But yes, we have to be clear that we must do what God has already established: make disciples, evangelize, heal the sick and cast out demons. Most of the believers understand what the sovereignty of God is, but very few perceive how to work under that sovereignty, through faith.

  • Always waiting for God’s initiative

When the manifestation of God is not externalized, we must know how to exercise our faith, anointing, and gifts. If we do not proceed and always reside waiting for God to take the initiative, then we are acting in extremes.

For example, if we appreciate that the Holy Spirit has not touched the lost, we, by faith, have to make the call of salvation. Since God has already commanded us to do it, we should not wait for him to take the next step. Visibly, the next step is our commitment.

What is the difference between glory and anointing?

  • The anointing is for the earth and only works in our nature. The glory testifies of the powers of the age to come because it is the atmosphere of heaven. Just as air is the atmosphere of the earth, glory is the atmosphere of heaven.
  • The anointing prepares us for glory. Glory is the presence of God.
  • The anointing gives us the ability or power to stand in His presence; glory is His presence.
  • In the anointing work the gift and faith of a man; in glory it is God himself working.
  • In the anointing, faith places a claim on a man’s garment; in glory, faith places the claim on the presence of God.
  • The anointing was given to us to heal the sick, but in the glory of God sickness is illegal.
  • In the anointing Jesus is the healer, in the glory Jesus is the Creator.
  • In the anointing we work, but in the glory we adore and rest.
  • The anointing was given to us to behead giants; in glory the giants do not enter.
  • In the anointing we feel how the power of God comes out of us; in glory the power comes from God himself.
