What Is Spiritual Liberation And How It Starts According To The Bible

The theme of the spiritual liberation It is very extensive, but it is something that God’s people have to deal with. It is very sad to know that, today, the children of God are still in spiritual poverty due to their lack of understanding; or even, with strongholds in their minds that prevent them from believing in all that their Heavenly Father has for them.

Spiritual Liberation allows you to receive blessings

Just imagine the following: You have just been given a dazzling palace, with all the comforts you have always dreamed of. There are many doors that lead to different places in the palace, places that you would like to enjoy, such as: the swimming pool, the game room, the garden, the gym and others. But you find yourself locked in a room from which you cannot get out, either due to a lack of understanding and revelation, due to the customs of men, due to strongholds established in your mind or due to ties. Don’t you think you are missing out on such a wonderful gift?

In the same way, it happens with people who receive the Lord as their Savior. First, they received their salvation by grace, since they did nothing to earn it, like the palace; and they do not go further, because they find themselves locked in a room (call it the customs of men, strengths, lack of knowledge or doctrines), wasting all the blessings they can receive just by opening the door to the ministry of spiritual liberation. Let us observe that the gift is not lost, it is simply not used (this is in the case of people who go to extremes, thinking that if there is no spiritual liberation, there is no salvation); Well, just because a person is wasting the children’s bread, which is spiritual liberation, does not mean that they are not saved.

Our Heavenly Father wants his children to be blessed, and that everything that is preventing them from being so, disappears. Just imagine the pain that, as a father, He experiences when seeing his children suffer so many adversities as a result of not believing in his Word. It is time for us to rise up and discover the influence of the enemy in our life.

The release definition:

liberation definition: Etymologically this word comes from the Latin “Liberatio” which refers to the fact of setting something or someone free. To speak of liberation implies the breaking of the corporal and spiritual ties that prevent any individual, animal or natural phenomenon from the opportunity to evolve or develop in its entirety.

How did the ministry of spiritual liberation begin?

The mystery of spiritual liberation began with John the Baptist, when he began to prepare the people of Israel to receive the Kingdom of God. With the preaching of the Kingdom of God, the ministry of spiritual liberation that Jesus was going to bring begins.” In those days John the Baptist appeared preaching in the desert of Judea, and said: Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has been approached”. he proclaimed the arrival of Jesus (Matthew 3,2) What did Jesus say about John the Baptist and the Kingdom of God? “Since John the Baptist and today, the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force (as a precious prize, an action in the kingdom of Heavens sought with burning zeal and intense effort)”. (Matthew 3.1,2)

The reason why Jesus says that, since the days of John the Baptist, the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, is because it was John who began to preach the Kingdom of God, and that was the moment when the confrontation with the kingdom began. Devil. When the Kingdom of God is preached, the visible manifestation is spiritual liberation. In other words, the devil became even more enraged when he realized that his days of possessing and oppressing human beings were coming to an end.

Jesus begins by preaching the Kingdom saying: ‘The time has come and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the gospel”‘. (Mark 1.15), The arrival of Jesus was prepared by John, the Baptist, through his constant preaching about the Kingdom. Likewise, Jesus begins his ministry, teaching and preaching about the Kingdom of God, which is what was going to bring spiritual deliverance from demons to people.

Jesus confronted the demons; “But there was in their synagogue a man with an impure spirit, who shouted: Mark (1:249) – Ah! What do you have with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God. Then Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Shut up and come out of him! (Mark 1:26), and the unclean spirit, shaking him violently and giving a scream, came out of him.” , saying “: – What is this? What new doctrine is this, which with authority commands even impure spirits, and they obey him? (Mark 1:28) Very soon his fame spread throughout the province around Galilee “.

(Mark 1.23-28) Jesus was speaking in the synagogue with authority, and the demons could no longer hold the anointing that was on Him. Suddenly, the man shouted loudly in front of all who were there: “Ah! What do you have with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God.” (Mark 1.24). Next, Jesus rebukes him, silences him and orders him to get out of it. Now, let’s remember that no person before Jesus had ever cast out a demon.

In the Ancient Will, the closest or similar to this, we see it when David played the harp, and the evil spirit that was on Saul, departed. That had been the closest thing to casting out demons before Jesus came. No person, prophet, priest, or king had the authority to cast out demons. Before Jesus, no one had commanded a demon to come out of a person. Jesus was the first to do so when he began his ministry preaching the Kingdom of God. This caused the two kingdoms to clash violently, causing the astonishment of everyone present.

The spiritual release of demons in people is a visible demonstration that the Kingdom of Heaven has come to a region or a place. There are many ministries that do not believe in spiritual liberation; therefore, there is no deliverance from demons in their midst. The sad thing is that if there is no spiritual liberation from demons, it is because they are not preaching the God’s Kingdom.

Spiritual Liberation and the Ministry of Jesus

What was the ministry of Jesus? Wherever Jesus went, the Lord displayed the four main aspects of his ministry: Preaching, teaching, healing, casting out demons “Jesus went through all Galilee. Teaching in their synagogues. Preaching the gospel of the Kingdom and healing all sickness and disease among the people. His fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to him all who had ailments. Those afflicted with various diseases and torments. The demon-possessed. Lunatics and paralytics. And he healed them.” (Matthew 4.23.24) “And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee. And he cast out demons.” Mark 1.39.

Throughout all the gospels, we see Jesus doing these four things: preaching, teaching, healing the sick, and casting out demons. Today, there are many pastors, ministers and believers who practice the first three, but do not dare to cast out demons, because the ministry of spiritual liberation is very controversial and persecuted. When the Kingdom is preached and taught, demons begin to manifest and people begin to be set free.

Why doesn’t this happen in some ministries and churches? Because they have opted more for the psychology and psychiatry of the world than for what Jesus taught with his example. We have gone looking for methods in the world to help people who are depressed and tied up. We are giving you carnal and human weapons to solve problems that are mostly spiritual; and for this reason, we see people who are still as oppressed as when they arrived at the church. Instead of giving them God’s solutions and believing in the power of the cross, in the Blood, in the Word and in the anointing of God’s Holy Spirit, we are giving them human advice and remedies.

Why does a believer need deliverance?

When a person comes to Christ, he has a new birth in his spirit, he is made a new creature. But, his soul (will, emotions and mind) remains intact, in the sense that there is no new birth in it. Therefore, the believer’s soul needs to be transformed, renewed and released.

The word is very clear, we are one new creature. That means that in our spirit, we are new, we are free, we are holy, we are justified; but as we mentioned before, there is another part of our being called the soul, which needs to be released, healed and transformed. “Do not conform to this world, but transform yourselves through the renewal of your understanding, so that you may verify what is the good will of God, pleasing and perfect”. (Romans 2.1, 2)

In the soul, is where believers have wounds, ties, lack of forgiveness, feelings of rejection and low self-esteem. It is from all of this that you need to be released and healed. Then they will be ready to receive the Word, grow and mature”. “Certainly oppression drives the wise mad, and gifts corrupt the heart”. (Ecclesiastes 7.7), When there is a demon influencing people, it does not let them think, because that oppresses them with illnesses and depression; therefore, it is necessary to minister spiritual liberation to them first, so that they can receive the word in their hearts.

Why hasn’t the Church understood the ministry of spiritual liberation?

The primary reason is the influence of the spirit of Greece that has entered the church. This spirit has cut off everything that is supernatural in the church.

Some characteristics of the spirit of Greece, which is influencing the Church of Christ:

• Humanism: the exaltation of man.
• Intellectualism: the exaltation of human intelligence. The recognition and achievement of goals and their symbols, such as diplomas, titles and wealth. All of these things substitute for the anointing and power of God.
• Denies everything that cannot be explained.
• Denies the existence of demons, thus preventing the release of believers.
• Resist everything supernatural, such as gifts, healings, prophecy, miracles, etc.

We can talk more about this spirit that has done so much damage to the church, but I just want to give you its basic characteristics. There are many ministers, churches and believers who do not believe in spiritual liberation, because there is a spirit from Greece that is influencing them. They would rather see their sheep tied up and hurt by the enemy than believe in the ministry of deliverance.
