The spiritual liberation must be done with the coverage of the Holy Spirit and the support in prayer and help of the entire church and its members, since in many cases these evil powers are strong and powerful and can be greatly resisted. Therefore, it is important to consider the following aspects:

1.- Recognize the type of manifestation

In order to achieve spiritual liberation, one must first recognize the state in which the person is, knowing the type of negative spiritual manifestation that they are experiencing. There are three ways of demonic manifestations:

  • The Oppressed: The demon has not yet managed to enter the person but is trying with great strength and determination. He attacks with thoughts of fear in order to control his life from the outside.
  • The Tormented: The person has opened the door, and therefore the devil has access from within to take control of some areas of his life, and is under the evil influence. He operates in the area of the soul, the mind, thus controlling the will and the emotions.
  • The Possessed or Demonized: This person has already completely lost control of his life, body, soul and spirit. The devil enters through the mind and obstructs it. Then he takes possession of the body. In the end, the demon manages to put out the spirit.

It should be noted that once the demons are inside they have the power to control the mind, body and spirit and can manifest the following signs:

  • disfigured face
  • Makes distorted sounds
  • A glassy or distant look
  • Has sudden movements
  • Loss of control of your body
  • tremors
  • Superhuman strength
  • supernatural understanding
  • Constant and ironic laughter
  • Dissenting gaze and problems opening the eyes or seeing you face to face
  • Oppression and pressure in the head, chest and or other parts of the body
  • Blockage in the throat
  • Fainting and loss of balance
  • uncontrollable crying
  • crawls and hisses

To achieve spiritual liberation, Authority must be exercised in the Name of Jesus and Bind the Evil Spirits so that they cannot manifest, just as the word says: “You have to submit in the name of Jesus” (Luke 10:17)

I invite you to read:

2.- Ensure that the person is conscious

To make the person come to his senses and remain aware of what is happening, you must invoke the name of Jesus to take control of the person’s body and mind, it is important to say his name. Make sure his eyes are open. Command the demons to let the person wake up.

Usually when the person is unconscious it is because they are afraid of what is happening inside themselves. So you must speak to her with words of encouragement, reminding her that God loves her and that he will never abandon her.

It is also very important to use biblical quotes that talk about the power that God has against the powers and that he will not leave us in this type of situation. As the word says: “In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18)

In this sense, it is important to maintain communication with the person affected by these demons in order to know the reason why these powers have gained ground and why they have permission to dominate their body, mind and spirit.

But avoid saying offensive words or pointing at them. The idea is not to judge them or make them feel guilty because nothing will be gained this way. On the contrary, the person will close even more. So we must talk to them about God and quote him the word, since that is the tool that will help us to make the spiritual liberation successful.

3.- Ask the Person if they really want to be freed from that demon

In order for the person to be released, they must first be aware of what is happening, they cannot be asleep or wandering. She must want to be released and express it verbally by saying “I want to be free.” Otherwise we can’t do anything, just pray and fast, because God respects our decisions. As we can see in his word:

“For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow before me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So each one of us will give an account of himself to God. So, let us no longer judge each other, but rather decide not to put a stumbling block or occasion to fall to the brother “ (Romans 14:11-13)

4.- Make the person the prayer of faith to accept the Lord

To make a spiritual liberation, the person must accept Jesus Christ as his only true Savior and Lord, since through this declaration, the Holy Spirit works in a surprising way in the person. In this regard, the word tells us:

“Jesus answered them: Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. And the slave does not stay in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be truly free.” (John 8:34-36)

As the word says, we cannot do anything without Christ, since it is through his presence that we can free the person from those powers and evil hosts. But Christians must repent and put sinful acts behind them in order to truly be delivered.

5.- We must know the areas where the enemy has taken part

In order to achieve spiritual liberation, we must know which are the areas where the enemy has gained certain legal rights as a result of sin, occultism, fear and lack of forgiveness.

First of all, we must pray, keeping ourselves totally dependent on the Lord to guide us throughout the liberation process and to do what is right in His eyes. It is also important to ask him for direction and discernment so that he can reveal to us what he wants to deal with at that moment. The word exhorts us to wait for God to give us the guidelines of what we should do:

“Therefore do not judge before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and will also reveal the designs of hearts; and then each one will receive his praise from God.” (1 Corinthians 4:5)

In this way, it is important to investigate how and when the enemy gained legal ground in the person’s body through acts such as abortion, adultery; in the soul as the lack of forgiveness, lies, curses, or in the spiritual plane as the occult, idolatry or false religions.

6.- The possessed person must renounce what caused the oppression

If we want to achieve spiritual liberation, we must motivate the person to first accept the Lord Jesus into his heart, repent of all his sins and forgive. In addition, he must give up and deal with what oppressed him and caused him injuries and has him tied up.

If the person manages to do all this, he will be canceling all the legal rights of the enemy and in this way the liberation can be carried out, which heals the heart.

So invite the person to repeat a deliverance prayer in the name of Jesus, forgiving and renouncing all that God has revealed to be the root cause of all evil. As the word indicates: “Teaching us that, renouncing impiety and worldly desires, we live soberly, justly and piously in this century” (Titus 2:12)

It should be noted that demons are not omniscient and they do not have the power to read our minds. Therefore, when we forgive and renounce we have to do it out loud so that they can clearly hear the words spoken by the person.

The words of liberation can be the following: “I renounce sin”, “I repent before God”, “I am a Son of God and I ask for liberation”, “I renounce lies, deceit, blasphemies”, among others. In this way the Holy Spirit will work and the devil will have no place in that person’s life because he has recognized his sin and has repented.

7.- Yokes must be broken in the Name of Jesus Christ

In order to achieve a spiritual liberation as ministers of the Lord, we must break the yokes that bind the person, thus breaking the ties of slavery, rejection, fear, lies, among others.

Break all the yokes. As the person remembers, forgives and renounces (examples: rejection, fear, spiritual slavery), we as ministers of the Gospel have to break all yokes immediately.

As the word expresses it: “Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loosen the bands of wickedness, to loosen the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?” (Isaiah 58:6)

8.- We must cast out the demons

Once the person has accepted the Lord, has repented, and we know the root of the problem that has caused the demon to take part of the person’s life, we must cast out those demons that are harming him.

This must be done in the Name of Jesus, who has the power to cast out the Evil Spirits that harass that person. Without Christ, we can do nothing, since it is through his forgiveness, mercy and power that we can achieve it.

If it happens that the spirits begin to manifest themselves after having rebuked them in the name of Jesus Christ, it is because they are resisting. But if after a few attempts they continue to do so, you must bind the spirit again, and continue to investigate why they are still there, possibly because they have been granted legal rights over that person.

For which you must ask him to renounce everything bad again, to break all the yokes that do not allow his complete liberation and finish casting out all the evil spirits that reside there.

9.- We must thank God for spiritual liberation

To complete the liberation we must exalt the name of Jesus Christ and give him all the glory and all the honor for his enormous power and mercy, since a soul has been saved and freed from oppression. So the person who was released must thank God and confirm that he is now free, and proclaim it out loud.

If the person who has been released finds it difficult to glorify God, it is likely that not all the evil spirits have left yet, since a demon cannot tolerate the worship of God and therefore can begin to manifest again. For this reason, one must be alert and, if possible, the liberation process must be repeated, since many demons can return, as the word expresses:

“When the unclean spirit leaves a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and does not find it. Then he says: I will return to my house from which I came; and when he arrives, he finds it vacated, swept, and garnished. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits worse than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So too…
