Are all the apostles saints?

When we speak of the word holy, we speak of something clean, pure and without stain; kept, without wickedness, set apart for Jesus; Y without which no one will see God.

Philippians 4:8-9 states: “Por else, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report; if there is any virtue, if something is praiseworthy, think about this. What you learned and received and heard and saw in me, this do; Y the God of peace will be with you When he says all that is pure, he speaks of all that is holy.

A holy person, his soul is pure, his heart clean and his garments without spot before God; what’s more meditate if his path is correct.

The apostles, obtained the characteristics of a saint; despite his sins, Jesus allowed them to be strengthened in his light and truth; helping them to reach the maturity that the Lord wanted in them; with patience.

However, Jesus knew from the beginning who were the ones who really work for his work; and in John 6:70 it is stated that: “Jesus answered them, Have I not chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

This one that Jesus named is Judas Iscariot; this proves that this apostle was not holy; not only because of what was declared by the Lord; but because he also stole, and the best proof, says John 12, where Mary of Bethany pours out a perfume very expensive at the feet of Jesus; Iscariot reproaches why not sell it and give the money to the poor. The word assures that he did not say that to think of the poor; but to later subtract money from the bag. (John 12:5-6)

Weak or impure apostle

All the apostles had weaknesses; Peter cut off the ear of Malchus, the high priest’s servant, before Jesus was handed over; James and John wanted fire to fall from heaven to destroy a village of Samaritans; Saul persecuted the church of Christ.

Thus, many mistakes they made because they believed they were doing the right thing for the work of God; and they repented Jesus himself rebuked and forgave them. The most impressive is the conversion of Saul of Tarsus as a servant of Christ; but none sold his teacher for thirty pieces of silver.

Jude not he had enough reasons to make such a betrayal; those named above, They fell, got up and continued the work of Jesus filling lives to the present day; but Iscariot’s remorse led him alone to death; and the only reason is that he was not holy, he was the Devil and Jesus knew it.

holy apostles

Real wonders they did too, as was written in Acts 8:39; Philip was caught up by the Spirit of the Lord from Gaza to Scourge; after converting Christ, an Ethiopian official eunuch of Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who came to worship in Jerusalem.

Each apostle had his attributes, good and bad that each one of us has as men; but nothing prevented them from fulfilling the work entrusted by Jesus and by God, because Jesus was perfecting them until the day of his death. Thus, each one of us, those who believe in Jesus Christ; God helps us day by day to leave the passions of this worldto perfect us until the Jesus.

Are all the apostles saints? Let us not forget that being a saint ensures that we see God face to face, when we leave with him, or when Jesus comes to look for us; to go to the heavenly place, where they have prepared abodes for each one of us.
