1. jomothumadon (oJmoqumadovn, 3661), by common consent, (from jomos, same; thumos, mind). It is used eleven times, ten of them in Acts. It is translated “with one accord” in Acts 1:14; 2.1.6; 4.24; 5.12; 7.75 (RV; RVR: “to one”); 8.6; 19.29 (RV; RVR: “to one”); in 12.20: “in agreement” (RV: “concordes”); 15.25: “to an agreement” (RV: “in one”); 18.12: “by mutual agreement”. Outside of Acts, it only appears in Rom 15:6 “unanimous” (KJV: “concordes”). See AGREEMENT.¶ 2. jomou (oJmou`, 3674), appears in Act 2:1 in mss. more commonly accepted instead of No. 1, which appears in TR. The phrase “all unanimous together” is a translation of apantes jomothumadon epi to auto (TR), or in the alternative text, pantes jomou epi to auto (lit. “all together in the same place”). See TOGETHER, No. 1. 3. sumpsucos (suvmyuco”, 4861), adjective, lit, “of similar spirit, (sun, with; psuque, soul), and is used in Phi 2:2, translated “unanimous”. ¶ Notes: (1) For isopsucos: “so unanimous” (Phi 2:20, KJV; KJV: “of the same mind”), see í NIMO under ENCOURAGE, C, No. 3.¶ (2) psuque, see VIDA , is used in the phrase eni pneumati in Phi 1:27, translated “with one accord” in the KJV, RVR; lit. “one spirit”; see F. Lacueva, Interlinear New Testament, loc. cit. (3) The sunathi verb, for which see COMBAT, COMBAT, B, No. 3, is translated “fighting together” in Phi 1:27 (KJV: “fighting together”).
