Prayer for newborn children
Lord, I thank you for this son you have given me. Thank you so much for your care during the pregnancy and the wonderful way you shaped him. Thank you for giving me the privilege of being his mother. I’m so happy! Beloved Father, I ask your blessing on his life, that from today he learns to listen to your voice and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, it’s so nice to see this perfect little body. He looks so helpless, beloved Father! Please save it from all evil. Give him physical and spiritual health. Help him grow strong and develop smoothly. That in the same way that my son grows and is physically stronger, he also grows in wisdom, in faith and in his love for you so that he becomes a man who glorifies you in every circumstance and at all times.
Help me guide and instruct him in your ways. May I always be a good example of love and acceptance so that this precious little boy grows up feeling loved and accepted.

Prayer for little children
Dear Father, what great joy this little girl has brought to our family! Thank you very much for her life. Thank you for your work on it, because it is an admirable and wonderful creation. Help her feel your incomparable love and know that she is important to you. May her heart be filled with peace, knowing that she is loved and accepted by you and by us, her parents.
I bless her ability to feel your presence and your care over her life. Help me to be a good father and a good example of what it is to serve you and live according to your will. Keep our little girl from all evil, may your protective angels surround her day and night. Give her health so that she continues to grow physically and that she also develops a spirit that is awake and attentive to your movements. She guards her both from viruses and physical illnesses as well as from the spiritual attacks of the evil one.
Help our little girl learn to share what she has with her friends. Give her the ability to connect with others and to be kind and kind to everyone. Shape her character so that your light shines through her and blesses her little friends.
I also ask you to help our daughter to adjust to the school environment, discipline and daily routine. May she learn to give the best of herself and use with generosity and joy the gifts and talents that you have given her. I bless her and place her in your powerful hands because I know that you are with her and take care of her at all times and in all places, even when I am not present.
Beloved Lord, as we read the Word together as a family, may she understand her need for you. Help me to be a good example for her about what it is to live for you. May I instruct her in your path so that she grows up loving you above all things and loving her neighbor as herself.

Prayer for adolescent or young children
Thank you, beloved Father, for the growth of our son. It’s nice to see him so big and developed as a human being. Thank you for your great love for him. I praise you for your work in his life and your protection over him to this day.
Lord, you know their struggles. Help him understand his need to open his heart completely to you and receive you as his Savior. I beg you to help me to continue to be an inspiration so that he walks the path of obedience to you.
Good God, help my son to have a good self-esteem. That he learns to set clear and achievable goals, that he sees his strengths and also his limitations. That he can see himself as you see him, complete, precious, with enormous potential to help other people and to make this world a better one.
I pray that he learns to firmly and respectfully reject mean comments. May he not be tempted to denigrate, attack or offend those who speak ill of him, but may he be an agent of love and respect who blesses others with his words, his actions and his presence.
Please protect him from all harm. May your angels guard you at all times from ill-intentioned people and dangerous situations.
Father, there are so many temptations around you! Give him wisdom and discernment to understand what comes from you and what does not. Help him to have firm convictions so that he can reject everything that separates him from you and your purpose for his life.
Dear Father, bring good friends into your life, other young people who have biblical values and who seek to do your will. Separate him from bad influences, from those who are guided by evil and who are not afraid of you.
I also pray for his future wife. May she also be focused on you and your will for her life. May both of them grow in their love for you and can clearly hear your direction in the romantic area. Help them value physical, emotional, and spiritual purity so that your future life together isn’t marred by bad memories or negative experiences.
Lord, give our son much wisdom and help him make the right decisions in all areas of his life. May he seek in your Word and in prayer the keys to know your will and to know what to do in the midst of every situation. Guide him in his studies, that he knows how to use his intelligence and his gifts to be a productive citizen who cooperates for the well-being of our country.
It is in your hands and that is the best place it can ever be. Amen.
Prayer for adult children
Thank you, beloved Father, for our daughter and for how she has become a good woman. Thank you for the health you have given her until today, for your care, your work and your direction in each stage of her life. She continues to give her physical and spiritual health and may she continue to reflect your love in the neighborhood, at work, with her husband and wherever she goes.
Lord, guide our daughter in her professional career. Thank you for her good work ethic, because she uses her intelligence and her talents to help other people through her work. Help her to know that she is useful, to remember that what she does makes a difference and helps the well-being of other people.
Father, thank you for the family that she has started. Thank you for bringing a good Christian man into her life. Help her to be a good wife, that she love and bless her husband at all times. May they serve you and love you above all things and seek your direction every day and in every situation. Help them to reach other people for your kingdom, let them be light and go out in the neighborhood where they are.
Provide for all their needs, Lord. May they experience your bountiful provision at all times and may they share your blessings with all around them.
Lord, although my daughter is now an adult and has started her own family, you know that I pray and will always pray for her. May she remember that she can come to me at any time for prayer, a word of encouragement, a hug, or anything else she may need.
Thank you for the privilege you have given me to see my daughter grow up and start her family. I praise you, Lord, for her life and for all your kindness to each one of us. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Prayer for protection from evil
Beloved Father, my dear son is in your hands. Bless him and protect him from all evil. Free him from the attacks of the enemy and people who seek to harm him. I ask that he can feel your presence at all times and that he knows that he can come to you for help and protection. Thank you because you will never abandon him.
Save it from accidents and serious illnesses. May your angels always surround him and free him from all evil. Thank you that we can trust your power. Your word says that he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will dwell in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). Help my son to remain under your shadow, clinging to you at all times. May he never forget that in you he has refuge, care and protection.
Give my son much wisdom and discernment. Help him choose his friends well and make good decisions in all areas of his life. Grant him the strength and determination to stand firm in the midst of temptations. May he never give in to the traps of the evil one and may he always stand firm in you. May his deepest desire be to please you and live within your will.
Lord, keep our son’s emotions too. That when the devil puts doubts about his value as a human being or makes him question your design in his life, our son can stand firm taking refuge in you and in your Word. May he always remember how loved and valuable he is to you and our family.

Prayer for a sick child
Father, my daughter is sick and needs your healing touch. Thank you because you love her in a great way and have all the power to help her in this time of illness. Lord, I ask you in the name of Jesus to touch her body and restore her to health. She removes all sickness and renews her strength. She needs your intervention right now and we put all our trust in you because you are the healing God.
Thank you, Lord, because you hear our prayers and works. We trust in you today and always. Amen.
Prayer for a child separated from the Lord
Father, in your hands I put the life of my son. You know he has heard your gospel, but he has decided to walk away from you and live his life his way. I ask you, Lord, to bring to his memory moments in which he experienced your love and care, experiences that he had with you during his childhood. Help him to remember how much you love him and the great sacrifice of love you made for his salvation.
Remove from him the enemy of souls, Lord. Remove the blindfold from his eyes so he can see the greatness of your love for him. Lord, only you know what happened and why he decided to walk away from you. Thank you because even if he turns his back on you, you never abandon him or forget him. You are always waiting for his return with your arms of love extended.
Bring healing to your heart and soul. Let him leave behind what took him away from you and extend his hand to you. May my beloved son realize how much he needs you. May his eyes and his heart be opened so that he can see and recognize that everything he longs for or seeks can be found in you. Heal any disappointment due to sad or unpleasant experiences with acquaintances or with people in the church. Help him put his eyes back on you so that nothing and no one can steal the great blessings that you have prepared for his life.
