In the course of life, situations arise that demotivate us and alter our focus. We are weak and if we do not stand firm in Christ, our Rock, we can become paralyzed or unable to continue.

When we look away from our Savior and look at ourselves, we see our flaws and we falter. But if we fix our eyes on Christ we stay motivated to live a wonderful life.

The Word of God has all the motivation we need to live our day to day with confidence, faith, joy and power.

Commend your way to the Lord; trust him, and he will act. He will make your justice shine like the dawn; your just cause, like the midday sun. (Psalm 37:5-6)

Whatever you do, work willingly, as for the Lord and not as for anyone in this world.

And everything that comes to hand, do it with all your efforts; because in the grave, where you are going, there is no work or plans or knowledge or wisdom.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed are those who take refuge in him.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all his troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are downcast in spirit. Many are the anguishes of the righteous, but the Lord will deliver him from them all.

So, consider the one who persevered in the face of so much opposition from sinners, lest you grow weary and lose heart.

Be strong and brave. Do not fear or be frightened before those nations, because the Lord his God will always accompany you; he will never leave you or forsake you.

Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard? The Lord is the eternal God, creator of the ends of the earth. He does not get tired or fatigued, and his intelligence is unfathomable. He strengthens the weary and increases the strength of the weak. Even the young get tired, weary, and the boys stumble and fall; but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will fly like eagles: they will run and not tire, they will walk and not tire.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
