Let’s make the earthly in us die | restored

The Bible tells us that everyone who has believed in Jesus is a person born again, raised from the dead, dead to earthly things, and alive to eternal things. We do not know how appreciated this is in our churches, since today there is a great decline in many who claim to be Christians, but the truth is that God has a people, which makes earthly things die by the power of His strenght.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians:

5 Put to death, then, what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, inordinate passions, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry;

6 things for which the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience,

7 in which you also walked in another time when you lived in them.

Colossians 3:5-7

Paul here mentions some of those earthly things: “Fornication”, “inordinate passions”, “evil desires”, etc., and the only way for us to put all these things to death is by living a full life in the Lord.

Let us remember that once we walked in those things and for us it was something normal, but it can no longer be normal, since we have died to sin, therefore we have also died to earthly things, which means that we no longer live according to the system of this world, but after the pattern of God.
