Trust in the Lord and do good | restored

Psalm 37 makes us understand that we should not only do good to everyone, including our enemies.

The Lord always took very good care of the psalmist David, giving him words of encouragement so that he would understand that he was not alone.

That is why in Psalm 37 he says the following:

1 Do not be impatient because of the wicked, nor be envious of those who do iniquity.

2 For like grass they will soon be cut down, And like green grass they will wither.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; And you will dwell on the earth, and you will feed on the truth.

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:1-3

“Don’t get impatient because of the evil ones” means don’t despair because you haven’t achieved anything when the bad guys seem to get everything easily. That kind of people will already have their payment for their actions, you find that in verse 2.

That is why we must trust God. In verse three of Psalm 37 there is a promise for those who do good, a promise that the wicked and wicked can never enjoy, that is why we must stay on the path of truth.

Although the psalmist made some mistakes, he was a man who repented, because he went before the presence of God and humbled himself, his heart grieved for making a mistake before God.

Finally, in verse four we find the key for God to grant us our requests and it is to delight ourselves in Him. So, let us not be impatient, let us trust in the Lord so that our ways are clean and we receive His great promises.
