In 1John 1:5 he says: “This is the message that we have heard from him and we announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him.“. light means kindness. It literally lights up our world and goodness lights up the face of our souls.
In Christ, the supernatural power of light also impels us to goodness. God the Father defeated the power of darkness and death through God the Son, Jesus, when he raised him from the dead after the crucifixion. A death that Jesus voluntarily assumed, to complete the Father’s will for him.
The good and perfect will of God was to save us from darkness and bring us to the light. As the first thing created and something necessary for life, light has a primary meaning in the Bible.
Throughout the Scriptures, images of light are constantly used to symbolize life itself, particularly life lived in a way that is pleasing to God.

John 3:19-21 says:
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people love darkness more than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be discovered. But the one who does the truth, he comes to the light, so that it can be clearly seen that his works have been fulfilled in God ”.
Light symbolizes goodness and God is good. He cannot operate outside of who he is. John began his Gospel account by emphatically declaring that Jesus came to earth, God the Son. Jesus is Light and in Him there is no darkness or sin.
“The light of God represents what is good, true, and holy,” explains the NIV Study Bible, “while the darkness represents what is evil and false.” Satan’s goal was to defeat Jesus, but Jesus defeated him. The light can be seen by one and all. Darkness hides, conceals and covers, while light exposes the truth. The light of God is powerful and far-reaching, capable of illuminating everything. How does the meaning of the verse impact our view of God?
The psalm 92, written for worship, sings praises for God’s good works. Moses also wrote about the unwavering goodness of God: “‘The Rock, his work is perfect, because all his ways are justice. God of faithfulness without iniquity, just and upright is he” (Deuteronomy 32:4, ESV).
Our limited perspective only allows us to see what is happening in front of us. We do not have the ability to see what comes next. He is always close to the brokenhearted, always bringing good out of dark intentions and always fulfilling his promise to care for and defend us for generations to come.
How to walk into the light of God
You may be going through a stage in life where you feel stuck, you don’t know where you are going or what you are doing with your life. Maybe you’re just going through the grind day after day. If you feel trapped in the dark and need to find God’s light, here are some things you can do:
1. Stop living in a routine
Stop doing the same thing every day. Get out of your routine and do something new, whether it’s going to a sports class or studying in a different coffee shop. Try doing something to change your normal routine. Get out of your daily routine and do something that brings you more joy. Go out and spend time doing what you like and doing something for yourself, something that gives more light to your life, but never forget to give God each of your moments and give thanks for them.

2. Spend more time with others
Strive to spend more time with the people in your life who are important to you. Ask a good friend to meet you for coffee or call your mom on the phone and ask her how her day has been. Surround yourself with people who mean the most to you. These people will help you have more joy and happiness. They will remind you why they are important to you. The word of God says in Exodus 20:12:
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”
3. Spend more time with God
If you feel depressed, in the dark, and stuck in a rut, spend time with the one who brings the light; spend time with God. You can do this in many different ways. One way is read the bible or start a devotional. Immerse yourself in the word of God directly, listen to what He has to say and remember what he has planned since your creation.
Another way to do this is through worship. Play music, praise God for the things he has given you and trust him and what he will do in the future. Lastly, pray condevotion. Pour out your heart to God. Give him everything that is on your mind and in your heart. He listens to you and will listen to everything you have to say. Matthew 6:6 says:
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.”
Choose to start each day with happiness. Try to see the positive side of things and choose that you will be happy when you wake up in the morning. Think about the little things you are grateful for. God only wants good things for your life and he wants you to be happy. Think about the things the Lord has given you that you are thankful for. 1 Peter 4:13 expresses.
“But rejoice as soon as you partake of the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be filled with joy when his glory is revealed.”
4. Live life as God wants
The Lord created you in his image. The wants you to live a happy life and spread his light and joy to those around you, and that’s hard to do when you’re stuck in the dark. Be a light to those around you and be happy with the life God has given you. Live as God wants you to live and live for his glory.
