When we speak of darkness we mean a complete absence of light.. The darkness encompasses total darkness, lack of direction, confusion, and doom. The person who walks in darkness walks without direction since he does not have a light source to help him orient himself.

On many occasions, when the Bible speaks about darkness, it refers to the moral and spiritual depravity of the human being. The Word of God shows us the great contrast between the one who walks in darkness or without God and the one who walks in the light because he has accepted Jesus as Savior. He who accepts Christ walks in the light and begins to reflect his light. That is why our testimony is so important, so that we can illuminate this somber world.

Something curious is the fact that it is not possible to unite light with darkness. The presence of even the smallest source of light is capable of dispelling darkness. No darkness is able to resist the light. When we place our darkness in the wonderful light of Christ, all the darkness disappears and thus we can walk in righteousness.
