Verses to thank and recognize the work of your pastor

Being a pastor or pastor is not an easy task. Pastoring a church is a great responsibility before God and before people, and many times people do not even appreciate the work done. However, like any human being, pastors are also very happy when they receive words of encouragement and thanks.

Here you will find a series of biblical verses of gratitude and short phrases that you can use as a basis to express your love for the pastor for the work he does day after day. Show your affection to that person that God chose to share his Word with you, guide you on his path and feed your faith every week. Thank your pastor!

1. Thank you for obeying God’s call

He himself constituted some, apostles; to others, prophets; to others, evangelists; and others, pastors and teachers, in order to train the people of God for the work of service, to build up the body of Christ.

Thank you for being an instrument of God for the building of his church in our country.

2. Thank you for proclaiming the message of salvation to us

4. Thank you for always being aware of us

Make sure you know how your herds are doing; take good care of your sheep.
(Proverbs 27:23)

Thank you for your visits and your care in our times of difficulty.

5. Thank you for allowing me to pray for your ministry.

Dear brother, I pray that you go well in all your affairs and enjoy good health as well as prosper spiritually.

I thank God for giving me the privilege of praying for you and seeing how he guides you.

6. Thank you for directing us efficiently

Elders who manage the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those who devote their efforts to preaching and teaching.

Thank you for your dedication and for the biblical teachings that feed our spirit.

7. Thank you for giving us such a good example

Strive to present yourself approved to God, as a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly interprets the word of truth.
(2 Timothy 2:15)

Thank you for the clarity with which you teach and the sincerity with which you live what the Word of the Lord says.

8. Thank you for guiding us with wisdom

I will give you shepherds who do my will, to guide you with wisdom and understanding.
(Jeremiah 3:15)

Thank you for the wise way of leading the church and for being a good example of what it means to live within the will of God.

Verses to thank and bless other people

9. Thank you because your life is worth imitating

Remember your leaders, who communicated the word of God to you. Consider what was the result of your lifestyle, and imitate your faith.
(Hebrews 13:7)

Thank you for showing us what it means to live for Christ and be full of faith.

10. Thank you for your very correct testimony

First of all, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is well spoken of throughout the world.
(Romans 1:8)

Thank you very much for your good testimony in the service of Christ. God is glorified through his life.

11. Thank you for your work full of love and perseverance

We always thank God for all of you when we mention you in our prayers. We constantly remember them before our God and Father because of the work done by their faith, the work motivated by his love, and the constancy sustained by his hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for walking and persevering in faith with a heart so full of love and hope for the glory of God.

12. Thank you for your service to God and us

Care as shepherds for the flock of God that is in your charge, not out of obligation or ambition for money, but with the desire to serve, as God wants. Do not be tyrants with those who care for him, but be examples to the flock. Thus, when the Supreme Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
(1 Peter 5:2-4)

Thank you for your genuine love for the work that God has entrusted to you. In due time God will reward you.

13. Thank you for all these years of hard work

Brethren, we ask you to be considerate of those who work hard among you, and guide and admonish you in the Lord. Hold them in high regard, and love them for the work they do. Live in peace with each other.
(1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)

Thank you for all your effort in communicating the good news of the Gospel to our nation. I thank God for his life and for using him to bring his Kingdom closer to our lives.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord look at you with pleasure and extend his love to you; May the Lord show you favor from him and grant you peace.

14. Thank you for blessing us with your gifts

Each one puts the gift they have received at the service of others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. The one who speaks, do it as one who expresses the very words of God; whoever renders any service, do it as one who has the power of God. Thus God will be praised in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen.
