Arriving at the threshing floor of Nacón, he extended his hand towards the ark of God and held it because the oxen threatened to overturn it.

(possibly a shortened form of Uzziah, meaning: “My Strength Is Jehovah”).

1. A Benjaminite. (1Ch 8:1, 7)

2. Name related to a garden. The Judahite kings Manasseh and Amon were buried in the garden of Uzza and not in the place where kings used to be buried. (2Ki 21:18, 23, 26) There are no further references to Uzzah or the garden. Since other people had been buried there, this place could not be found on the temple grounds, nor in the royal palace, which was next to the temple, so the “house” of Manasseh that was in the garden of Uzza It must have been a summer residence.

3. Head of a family belonging to the Nethinim, some of whom returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel in 537 BC. CE (Ezra 2:1, 2, 43, 49; Ne 7:51.)
