1. One of the “mighty and valiant men, men of name and heads of their fathers’ houses,” of the half-tribe of Manasseh (1Ch 5:24).

. One of the Levites whom “David set at the singing service in the house of Jehovah” (1Ch 6:31, 1Ch 6:34).

. Benjamite, head of the family (1Ch 8:20).

1. Head of the half tribe of Manasseh. Like the other heads of the tribe, Eliel was brave, powerful; a man of fame. (1Ch 5:24.)

2. A Levite from the family of the Qohatites and ancestor of the prophet Samuel. (1Ch 6:33, 34) He should have been called Elihu at 1 Samuel 1:1 and Eliab at 1 Chronicles 6:27.

3. Descendant of Shimei from the tribe of Benjamin. (1Ch 8:1, 20, 21)

4. Descendant of Sasaq from the tribe of Benjamin. (1Ch 8:1, 22, 25.)

5. Mahavite mentioned among the mighty men of David. (1Ch 11:26, 46)

6. Another of David’s mighty men. (1Ch 11:26, 47)
