The true friendship of a good friend It’s like wearing perfume. It helps you get up when your spirits are low, a little of your favorite perfume brings joy back to your heart.
This verse is made as for women who like perfumes so much. I love this version, I share it with you:
«With a good perfume the heart rejoices; with the sweetness of friendship comes to life». Proverbs 27:9 NIV
I think it’s an appropriate comparison for us, because we like perfumes and we really like having friends, right?
How is friendship like a good perfume?
I find two similarities between good perfumes and sincere friendships:
1.- When we apply a good perfume we feel safeis the touch that completes our personal arrangement.
The same thing happens when we talk to our real friends: they lift our spirits with their friendship and their advice.
They encourage us to bring out the best in ourselves in difficult times.
2.- A quality perfume is carefully chosen, because we are not going to buy the first one we find. We will look for the aroma that we like and that goes with our personality.
Well, a friendship is also sought among many, because not all agree.
We have to choose someone we can trust and who complements our life. There must be an affinity in our interests and our dreams.
That is why we will have to pay a lot of attention and care to find friends, sincere and who help us to be better.

True friendship makes the soul happy
A good friend gives good advice and lifts your spirits. We would always like to have that friend who understands us and helps us grow, right?
I personally think that in order to value a friendship, we must first have Jesus as a friend.
He is the sweetest friend you can have, he will always give you rest. He will never betray you.
Jesus is a faithful friend.
The best of all is that he always gives you the advice that leads you to life and shows you the best path to follow.
With Jesus you have the unconditional love you need to feel safe. No matter your condition, He will always love you and make your soul happy.
When we have Jesus as our best friend, then we can distinguish between a sweet friendship and one that is not. God wants true and best friends to be in your life.
Only friendship with Jesus can teach you to be a true friend, exactly as He is. Only then can you cultivate true friendship.
