In this regard, Psalm 10:4 tells us that the proud are so immersed in themselves that they are far removed from the Lord: “The wicked, because of the haughtiness of his face, does not seek God; there is no God in any of their thoughts.”
In this sense, this type of pride is haughty, it is the opposite of the spirit of humility that the Lord seeks: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3).
