The Power of the Resurrection – Christian Sermons – Sermons, Outlines and Bible Studies

Christian sermons | Biblical studies

Before addressing the subject of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is important to keep in mind a very important point to understand the power of the resurrection, and once you understand with revelation the meaning of the resurrection you will not be the same person after God reveals this supernatural power to you, and that point is call REVELATION, say with me revelation, without revelation there is no understanding or knowledge there is no wisdom.

Then we define what revelation is:

Free act by which God communicates his mystery to humanity, inviting them to share it. Revelation is the foundation of faith.

The term “revelation” owes its origin to the Greek apokalyptein, which means to remove the veil, to make manifest; however, Scripture’s use of this term cannot be reduced to terminology. In the Old Testament revelation is preferably expressed by the expression “word of Yahweh”; indeed, according to the Jewish conception it is impossible to see God and only his voice can be heard. The New Testament uses at least 15 different terms to speak of revelation, but its reference is always Jesus of Nazareth and his activity; therefore, the revelation is mainly the description of his person, his activity and his teaching.

You cannot understand the power of the resurrection, or you cannot see with the veil placed on your eyes, that is why it is necessary that the veil be removed, that is, to have revelation, it is very important that Christians have revelation.

You will not be able to understand the resurrection of Christ unless there is revelation in you, that is why today many people believe in Jesus Christ but they do not have the revelation of who he truly is, that is why Jesus told the woman at the well yes truly you knew who it is that asks you for water

Jesus told him if you really knew who I am, Jesus told him; you don’t know me Why if you knew me quickly you would ask me for water,

John 4:9-10

4:9 “How can you, being a Jew, ask me for a drink, a Samaritan woman?” (Because Jews don’t mix with Samaritans.)
4:10 Jesus replied, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

What is revelation?

The word revelation is “apocalypse” in the Greek language, which means to lay bare, to reveal a truth that is hidden. Revelation is an act, by means of which God communicates to our spirit and to our mind a truth that we did not know. It is not something that did not exist, but rather it is a truth that has been in the Bible, but that we have never seen or understood.

“17 Then Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 16.17

Every time God gives us a revelation of truth that we didn’t know or understand, He is giving us a key to open a door in the spirit.

A key represents the revelation of a biblical truth.

Jesus gave the keys to the Kingdom of God to Peter at that moment, because he was the one who received the revelation from God. In the same way it happens when we receive a revelation. At that time, we enter other levels of authority and anointing.

The revelation is for all those who yearn and wish to know more about God; and when he receives it, at that time, he is given a key to bind and loose.

It is very difficult for a proud believer to receive revelation from God. One of the ways in which God hides His truths from an arrogant person is by blinding his understanding, so that he does not think he is wise and trusts his own prudence.

Who are those who receive revelation from God?

“21At that very hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, because you liked it that way.” Luke 10.21

In this verse, the word child does not specifically speak of a child in age, but rather represents the mind and heart of a child. A child is someone who is teachable, not specialized; he is inexperienced, humble and meek.

It is necessary to receive revelation, both to pray effectively and to become mature and solid believers in the Lord.

Resurrection

And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is also in vain. And we are found false witnesses of God; for we have testified of God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise, if indeed the dead are not raised. Because if the dead do not rise, neither did Christ rise; and if Christ has not risen, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins. Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ perished. If in this life we only hope in Christ, we are the most to be pitied of all men. 1 Corinthians 15:14-19

What he is saying is this, if Christ is not resurrected you and I are the most miserable beings on earth, our faith is vain, our preaching is vain, and we are still in our sin.

I want you to see how this resurrection happened. Resurrection means to rise again from the dead. But what is the difference between the resurrection of Christ and that of all the others who were also resurrected? Lazarus died and rose again, a dead man fell on the bones of Elisha and rose again.

The son of the widow of Nain was resurrected by Jesus. The difference is that all the men who died and rose again died. Furthermore, just as they died, they were resurrected, with all the defects with which they had died. The difference with Jesus is that He died with all the sins, iniquity and evil of humanity and rose without any of them and did not die again.

Many put a lot of emphasis on the Cross but Christ did not end on the Cross; they have idolatry for the Cross, they love the dead. For Christians the Cross is very important, but without the Resurrection it does not have full validity. Lazarus died a sinner, and rose up a sinner and died again. Christ died with all the sins, yours and mine, with all your wickedness and mine, with all your illnesses, rebellions, he went to Hell, paid the price and a new man arose. He is the firstborn from the dead. He is a new breed. He never died again. He died once for all and always and always. He died and rose again.

What is the difference between Confucius, Mohammed and Jesus? You don’t have to argue with a Muslim. They know that their leader is dead. They don’t argue because they have no argument. The Buddhists know that their leader is dead. All of you do not appreciate the resurrection because you think that Christ rose as God, he came to earth as God, nothing happened that I went through. But you are wrong. Jesus was 100% man and 100% God. He left his deity behind and came as a man. He faced the devil and his demons, death and the cross as a man.

He did it all as a man. The only difference was that he had no sin, but he was a man, he got tired, slept, ate and went to the bathroom. He was a normal man.

Genesis 3:15

When man fell into sin, God promised the serpent that the seed of the woman would crush his head. This that the offspring of the woman would overcome him. From that moment God had to come to earth as a man, he could not come as God.

Jesus prayed for the blind and the blind saw, I pray for the blind and the blind see. Jesus prayed for the sick and they were healed, you pray for the sick and they are healed. The same anointing that was on Jesus is on you, as a man. Not as God, as man.

The Bible says that God told the serpent that he would return as a man and meet him in his lair as a man. And Jesus came, went to the cross, died and went to hell and that man bore your sin, your rebellions, and the demons could not bear it, death could not bear it.

Why does the Bible call him Son of Man? Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, they were sons of men. Christ had no advantage over them, only that he was anointed by the Holy Spirit, like you and me. He was a man like them. But all of them are dead. Jesus is alive. That’s the big difference.

His resurrection was his validation. If Christ did not rise again, this would make us understand that death defeated him and he would not be different from any other prophet or teacher who lived on earth. If Christ has not risen I am miserable, my faith is vain and I am wasting my time.

What validates Christ is that he is the only one with the testimony of having been raised from the dead. Jesus is the only person in this universe who has the testimony of having overcome death and having risen as a man. Everyone else doesn’t have that testimony. No one! Only him.

It is not time to cry, murmur or complain but to declare: My redeemer lives! My redeemer lives forever! This is what separates Christ from all other leaders of the Universe and all ages.

When the cross seemed to be his humiliation, when he was laughed at, his validation came through his resurrection. Just as death on the cross was thought to be the humiliation of Jesus, his resurrection was the humiliation of Satan.

Christianity is founded, based, and stands on the revelation of his resurrection.

If Jesus is alive it means that I am alive, and whatever I ask for will come to pass. If you go to Buddha’s grave to ask him, you can’t do anything because he is dead.

Tonight he’s walking around here because he’s alive.

This is not about something emotional, this is about faith. It’s not a mental effort, but it doesn’t work like that. It’s about faith.

If you need a dead organ in your body, it will be resurrected today. Put the date you want this to be fulfilled. He is alive! The Holy Spirit told me that there are women who cannot have children, and they will become pregnant. There are people who have come with cancer, for them the power of the resurrection is here. I command the spirit of cancer to die now. I curse the cancer seed now.

Why is the king here? Cry out to the king! I want the power of the resurrection. Paul said: in order to know him in the power of the resurrection. How bad do you want it?

Young men, you are waking up. They are rising to life. You who read also begin to cry out for the power of the resurrection of Christ. Its alive! He is not dead, Christ is alive! Thank you Jesus. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. The spirit of prophecy is upon me.

The city of paradise will know about these young people. The power of the resurrection will be manifested in them, in a revolution. Resurrections will be common in this house. Even the little ones will raise the dead. And everyone who prayed before me tonight, if you believe, every request that you wrote is fulfilled.

Isaiah 61:1-3

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to preach glad tidings to the downcast, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and to prisoners opening…
