the coming king

The Coming King It refers to the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which has been announced in the Holy Scriptures. The book of Revelation details what the visible coming of Jesus will be like and recounts the events that will take place in this event that is so important for humanity and especially for the church of Christ.

I invite you to read:

This can be seen in the following passage: “Then I saw heaven open; and behold a white horse, and the one who rode it was called Faithful and True, and with justice he judges and fights. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many diadems; and he had a name written that no one knew but himself. He was dressed in blood-stained clothing; and his name is: THE WORD OF GOD ” (Revelation 19:11-13)

In this quote we are detailed how the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ will be, who presents himself as true, faithful and as the word of God. So it will be a majestic event where everyone will bend their knees in his presence.

The Coming King – How will that event be?

Within the different eschatological messages that speak about the second coming of Jesus Christ, we find different topics that are indicated as the rapture of the church, the court of Christ, the wedding of the lamb and the great tribulation.
Therefore it is important to highlight the way in which Our Lord Jesus Christ will present himself and make his entrance as a King into this world. All these themes tell us about the fact that Christ comes to look for his church, which will be like the Wife of the Lamb.

This is one of the promises it brings the greatest hope for the children of Godwho were redeemed through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, where he defeated the enemy by giving his life for each one of us.
In this sense, humanity will be able to appreciate the day when Jesus comes as Our King, full of power and glory. As announced by the Holy Scriptures:

“The expansion of his empire and peace will have no limit, on the throne of David and on his kingdom, arranging and confirming it in judgment and justice from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.” (Isaiah 9:7)

In this order of ideas, two important events are going to take place, the rapture of the church and the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then those of us who are alive, those of us who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

When he takes his church it will be to reign together with his church, and then when he comes it will be a very relevant event where supernatural events will appear: “The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be moved” (Matthew 24:29).

In this way, when Jesus Christ comes to this world, his light will be so bright that the great lights will go out because his Glory will be more excellent than any light. So no event will be so glorious as when the rider appears on the white horse mounted by the King of Kings and Lord of LordsOur Prince of Peace, the Faithful and True.

How will the coming King appear?

Our Lord Jesus Christ will come first to look for his church, which must be prepared, with clean clothes, spotless and ready for battle.
Then he will appear as the King on this earth, where his light will shine majestically. In this way, it is important to point out how Jesus will present himself to this world:

1.- As the triumphant King

In the rapture, Jesus Christ will appear as Our triumphant King and will come as the thief in the night. However, at his second coming, he will come in a visible form, with all power and great glory. There every eye will see him according to the following passage:

“Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the lineages of the earth will lament for him. Yes, amen” (Revelation 1:7)

In this sense, the vision of an “open sky” that Juan shows us, leaves us in no doubt that its appearance will occur universally. So the whole world will witness the majestic appearance of him, where He will come mounted on a white horse as Our victorious King and triumphant. He will also have diadems on his head that show his royalty.

When Jesus Christ first came into this world, he had to wear a crown of thorns, but now he will bring many crowns to rule with us.

In the same way, the word reveals to us that his eyes will be like flames of fire and everyone will tremble before his presence. Previously he was rejected and now his presence will be awesome and he will show himself with power and glory, as Our Almighty King.

2.- It will be seen as Faithful and True

The second coming of Jesus Christ is a supernatural fact that cannot be understood by the finite mind of man. Therefore, in order to have a greater understanding, it is necessary to have the Holy Spirit within us, because only through his presence can we believe and have faith in the wonders and wonders of his return.

In this way, Jesus Christ will appear as Faithful and True, which are the names attributed to him in the Bible, in addition, he is shown as the verb of God, majestic and imposing. In the word of God we are told of the second coming of Jesus to this earth, for which we cannot doubt it. However, the antichrist and the false prophet will try to divert the message and distort the word with their deceit.

The cunning of these evil characters is based on deceit, wickedness and lies, but the coming King will present himself with his nature of being “Faithful and True”. In this way, Jesus Christ is going to present himself as the one who judges and fights and his cause is shown to be just and perfect. He will present himself as Our Prince of peace but also of war, as the word indicates: “The Lord is a warrior; His name is Lord.” (Exodus 15:3).

In this sense, Our Lord Jesus Christ shows himself to be Faithful and True and proclaims his peace among all, but if there is no repentance, the day will come when the Lord will act against all injustice and sin so that they are not the ones to reign.

3.- It will have three new names

When Our Lord Jesus was born, he was assigned a name, and when he comes the second time, he will have three new names that will manifest their character and his glorified state. First, a name is made known to us that no one can know, because only he knows it. The other name that is revealed to us is “the word of God” which is the word spoken by whom all things were created from the beginning.

So when he spoke, the world was made. But also Jesus is the incarnate word through whom salvation came.
In this regard, John himself tells us in the Bible that no one ever saw God but through his son Jesus he has made himself known: “And the Word became man and dwelt among us. And we have beheld his glory, the glory that corresponds to the only-begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14).

As for the third name with which John saw Jesus, it represents the most glorious of all. The text refers to the fact that the warrior who gallops on his white horse has an inscription on his thigh, as indicated in the word: “And on his mantle and on his thigh he has a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” (Revelation 19:16)

4.- He presents himself as the warrior in battle

Our Lord Jesus Christ will come as a King with an army ready for battle and their clothes will be white, fine linen and without stains. This army cannot be defeated because its nature is special. They do not have weapons because their King Jesus Christ is the one who will fight for them.

He is “Jehovah of hosts”, Our mighty King in battle who has always fought for his people. This army is the church of the Lord that comes with his King, and the figure of this army mounted on white horses, and with this clean white garment will be majestic.

In this way that when Jesus returns the second time going to fight without needing to have weapons, neither tanks, nor artillery nor any nuclear power, because the only weapon that it will use will be the “sharp sword” that comes out of its mouth. As the word indicates:
“Indeed, the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. Penetrate to the depths of the soul and spirit, to the marrow of the bones, and judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

So Jesus will present himself as our truth, the living and effective word, which comes to judge men. That is why he does not need any weapon because his word is the one who will defeat the adversary.
“But he will judge the poor with justice, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips shall slay the wicked.” (Isaiah 11:4).

This quote clearly explains the way in which Jesus Christ will judge everyone, where he will rule the nations that he will shepherd with an iron rod after his defeat.

In this way, Jesus Christ will lead the peoples of the earth as a shepherd his flock, and the enemies of the Lord will not prevail. In this way, Jesus will fight for us and obtain the victory:“The Lord will fight for you, and you will be calm” (Exodus 14:14).

5.- He presents himself as the victorious sovereign

Jesus Christ will present himself as our conquered sovereignr, and John gives us a clear vision about the battle of Armageddon and those who will gather to fight the good fight with the “rider of the white horse”. This will be the last battle that the Lord will fight for his people, and it will be the greatest and most terrible that has been carried out in humanity.

This final battle is constituted the great army fights from the east and his allies, against the antichrist and his allies. So the ultimate goal will be to unite to fight against Israel and take over its territory.
However, when this conspiracy is taking place, then the Lord will come as the great conquering warrior to bring down all the armies that were united against his people and his anointed Jesus Christ in a place called “Armageddon”.

“for they are spirits of demons, which perform signs, and go to the kings of the earth throughout the world, to gather them together for the battle of that great day of Almighty God. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and he keeps his clothes, so that he does not walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them in the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon ” (Revelation 16:14, 16).

In this order of ideas, we must be clear that the final objective of Satan will be to destroy humanity. His most powerful and catastrophic action will be seen during those seven years, after which he will be bound for a thousand years and will be left without any action.
The coming of the Lord will be given with Power and Glory, where the…
