1st Day: Saint Joseph, nurturing father of Jesus
Most loving Saint Joseph, who had the honor of feeding, educating and embracing the Messiah, whom so many prophets and kings wished to see and did not see, obtain for me, with the forgiveness of my sins, the grace of humble and confident prayer that achieves everything God’s. Accept with paternal will the requests I make of you in this novena and present them to Jesus, who deigned to obey you on earth. Amen.
Pray for us, Saint Joseph, nurturing father of Jesus, that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.
For every day:
Let us pray: O God, who by ineffable providence You deigned to choose the blessed Saint Joseph as the husband of Your Most Holy Mother, grant us that the same person whom we venerate on earth as a protector deserves to have in Heaven as our intercessor. You, who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
You can add every day:
Glorious Saint Joseph, who was exalted by the Father, obeyed by the Incarnate Word, favored by the Holy Spirit and loved by the Virgin Mary, I praise and bless the Holy Trinity for the privileges and merits with which it enriched you. You are very powerful and it has never been heard that anyone has turned to You and was left helpless by You. You are the comforter of the afflicted, the support of the miserable and the advocate of sinners. Therefore, welcome with paternal kindness those who call upon you with filial trust and obtain for me the graces I ask for in this novena………. I choose you as my special protector. Behold, after Jesus and Mary, my consolation on this earth, my refuge in misfortunes, my guide in uncertainties, my comfort in tribulations, my helpful father in all needs. Finally obtain for me, as the crown of your favors, a good and holy death in the grace of Our Lord.

2nd Day: Saint Joseph, husband of the Mother of God
Saint Joseph, most chaste husband of the Mother of God and faithful guardian of her virginity, obtain for me through Mary purity of body and soul and victory in all temptations and difficulties. I also recommend Christian spouses to you, so that, united with sincere love and strengthened by grace, you support each other in the sufferings and tribulations of life. Amen.

3rd Day: Saint Joseph, head of the Holy Family
Glorious Saint Joseph, who for so many years enjoyed the presence and filial affection of Jesus, whom you had the blessing of feeding and clothing, together with your most holy wife, I beseech you to grant me the ineffable gift of always living united with God through sanctifying grace. It also obtains for Christian parents the grace of faithfully fulfilling their serious duties as educators and, for their children, respect and obedience, according to the example of the baby Jesus. Amen.

4th Day: Saint Joseph, example of fidelity
Most faithful Saint Joseph, who gave us such a beautiful example in the faithful fulfillment of your duties as protector of the Blessed Virgin and as a nurturing father of the Redeemer, obtain for me the grace to imitate your example in fidelity to all the duties of my state of life. Help me to be faithful in small things, so that I can also be faithful in big things. Reach me this same grace for all who are dear to me in this life, so that we can enjoy in Heaven the prize promised to those who are faithful until death. Amen.

5th Day: Saint Joseph, mirror of patience
Kind Saint Joseph, who heroically endured the trials and adversities on the journey to Bethlehem, on the flight to Egypt and during my hidden life in Nazareth, and gave me the example of admirable conformity with the will of God, obtain for me the virtue of patience in the difficulties of each day. Also obtain invincible patience for all who bear heavy crosses, so that they may become ever more united to Jesus, the divine model of meekness and patience.

6th Day: Saint Joseph, model of the workers
Humble Saint Joseph, who, living in poverty, dignified your profession by constant work and felt happy in serving Jesus and Mary with the fruit of your sweat, reach me with love for the work that was imposed on me as a duty of state, seeking always fulfill the will of God in this. Protect the homes of the workers in Brazil against the harmful influence of the enemies of Christ and the Holy Church, obtaining for them the grace to sanctify their work through right intention, in everything conforming to the designs of Divine Providence. Amen.

7th Day: Saint Joseph, protector of the Holy Church
Glorious patriarch Saint Joseph, protector and patron saint of the universal Church, obtain for me the grace to love the Church and honor it as a true disciple of Christ. Watch over the Mystical Body of Christ, as you once watched over Jesus and Mary. Protect the Holy Father and the bishops, priests and religious. Reach for them holiness of life and effectiveness in the apostolate. Guard the innocence of childhood, the chastity of youth, the honesty of the home, the order and peace of society. Amen.

8th Day: Saint Joseph, hope of the sick
Compassionate Saint Joseph, hope of the sick and needy, help me in all illnesses and tribulations, achieving full conformity with the admirable designs of God. Also obtain, for me and for everyone I pray for in this novena, healing from illnesses, weaknesses, faults and sins, and protect us against the temptations of the enemy of our salvation. Amen.

9th Day: Saint Joseph, patron saint of the dying
Blessed Saint Joseph, dying in the arms of Jesus and Mary, you departed this world adorned with virtues and enriched with merits. I was present at the supreme and decisive hour of my life against the attacks of infernal power. Obtain for me the grace to die comforted by the holy sacraments for my salvation. Have compassion on all the dying, reaching for them the grace of salvation through Mary, your Most Holy Spouse. Amen.
