Joshua 1:9 I have already commanded you: Be strong and courageous!

I have already commanded you: be strong and brave! Do not be afraid or discouraged! For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

God chose Joshua as Moses’ successor. Joshua would be the new leader of the people of Israel, the one in charge of guiding them to the Promised Land. It was a huge and very important job! But Joshua would not be alone: ​​the almighty God, Creator of the entire universe, would not abandon him. Joshua received the wonderful promise of God’s company wherever he went. Of course he would be strong and brave!
