Jaasiel (Heb. Yaasî’êl, “God makes” or “made by God”). 1. David’s mighty man, called a Mesobaite (1Ch 11:47). It is not certain whether “Mesobaite” means that he descended from an unidentified family by that name, or whether he hailed from a place called Mesoba, or Soba, unidentified. 2. Benjamite, son of Abner (1Ch 27:21).

2. Prince of the tribe of Benjamin during the reign of David. He was the son of Abner, so he was possibly a cousin of King Saul. (1Ch 27:21, 22)
