Jahaziel (Heb. Yajazî’êl, “God sees”). 1. Benjamite who joined David at Ziklag (1Ch 12:4). 2. Priest employed by David to sound the trumpets before the ark (1Ch 16:6). 3. Kohathite Levite from the house of Hebron (1Ch 23:19; 24; 23). 4. A Levite descendant of Asaph who prophesied in the time of King Jehoshaphat and encouraged him to go against Moab (2Ch 20:14, 15). 5. Jew from Babylon whose son returned with Ezra from Babylon (Ezr 8:5).
