Discover characteristics of some women in the Bible

I share this tribute with all virtuous women, with a beautiful verse of proverbs and characteristics of each personality dedicated to them:

Deborah

She was an ordinary housewife, but was chosen to be a judge. She was the only woman in the Holy Scriptures to hold a political position with excellence. She defined herself as “mother of Israel” and did everything for the good of the nation (Judges 4:4-16).

Main virtues

Deborah was quite virtuous: family mother, prophet, God-fearing and military leader. She devised battle strategies and won many victories for Israel during the time of the judges. She was the liberator of the Hebrew people in times of war against the Canaanites.

Characteristics

Leader: She was not intimidated by being a woman and gained the respect of Israel’s leaders.

Strategist: Débora always looked for ways to fight her enemies, seeking inspiration from the Lord, which is why she was successful in everything she did.

Counselor: she was concerned about people and always gave advice, discussing and suggesting solutions for those who had problems.

Be like Deborah

She is proof that a woman can be a professional and a housewife at the same time. To imitate her, try to be attentive and fair. Manage her time well and don’t make decisions without planning everything carefully.

Ester

She was the most important queen Israel ever had. Jewish and orphaned, she was raised by a relative. When she married King Ahasuerus, Esther did everything for the Jewish people. There is a book of the Bible just for her.

Main virtues

Esther discovered a plan to exterminate all the Jews. She prepared herself spiritually with a three-day fast and prayers. At the end of the period, Esther revealed to the king that she was Jewish and managed to save the people.

Characteristics

Wise: faced with a difficult situation, she did not despair, she sought solutions in God to make decisions.

Fearless: she was not afraid to act to save the Jews. She was bold and intelligent, and she had admirable faith.

Humble: instead of showing herself to be the owner of reason, she tried to respect the opinions of others.

Be like Esther

Don’t act on impulse, always try to pray before making your decisions. Ester was also very attentive.

Sara

Wife of Abraham, the first of the biblical patriarchs. God promised Abraham a son who would give rise to the entire people of Israel. Sara was the woman chosen to give birth to this child. She was called the “mother of multitudes” and seen as the ideal model of a married woman.

Main virtues

Sarah was sterile and showed a lot of faith when she did not give up on having the son that the Lord promised her. She persevered in her belief and, at the age of 90, she gave birth to Isaac, who was the heir of the promise made to Abraham. Therefore, she is the only woman mentioned among the heroes of faith (Hebrews 11:11), people who exercise influence to this day, such as Moses and David.

Characteristics

Dedicated: her son and husband could always count on her. She was by their side in any situation. She accompanied Abraham on all his trips.

Faithful to God: Sarah did not give up easily on God’s promises and tried to do His will.

Cheerful: she welcomed people home happily and served them with pleasure.

Be like Sara

Never give up on your dreams. Be confident in God and His promises. Put your family first, be a companion and try to have the same goals as your husband.

Ruth

She was married to the Hebrew Malom and got along very well with her mother-in-law, Naomi. When she became a widow, she became very attached to her mother-in-law, to the point of accompanying her to Bethlehem. There, she married Boaz and rebuilt her own life. Jesus is one of Ruth’s descendants.

Main virtues

Friendship, loyalty, dedication and detachment. Ruth made one of the most beautiful wishes of friendship to her mother-in-law. “Wherever you land, there I will land. Your people are my people, your God is my God” (Ruth 1:16).

Characteristics

Friend: She treated everyone well and was very affectionate.

Responsible: He worked in barley fields and never complained about the work, doing his best.

Reliable: Tried to be honest and honest in daily affairs. She had a good reputation and attracted the attention of her bosses for it.

Be like Ruth

She was a very sweet and competent woman. To act like Ruth, she must have integrity in everything she does: work, marriage and family.
