Celebrating is celebrating something important, something famous. It is to rejoice in God for his faithfulness. In the Bible, celebration is linked to the praise and worship of God. He is exalted, all-powerful and most high! That’s why he deserves praise and contentment for everything he’s done, especially for who he is. All creation is invited to celebrate the Lord for His goodness and love.
The celebration of God was continually done by the people through feasts and solemn meetings, where they sought God with fear and joy. The Jews had celebrations stipulated for specific occasions, such as:
- The Passover (Exodus 12:14)
- Feast of Weeks (Exodus 34:22)
- Feast of harvests/firstfruits (Exodus 23:16)
- Feast of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6)
- Feast of Tabernacles (Deuteronomy 16:13)
The people were instructed to keep these celebrations (and others) already scheduled, so that they would not forget to thank and praise God. Likewise, today, we are also invited to always be grateful and joyful in the presence of God (Psalm 100:1-5).
True celebration is evident in the lives and practices of those who trust and desire to glorify God. Therefore, remember to praise and thank the Lord, always, for everything He has done and does!

Hallelujah!
Praise God in his sanctuary,
praise him in his magnificent firmament. Praise him for his mighty deeds,
praise him according to the immensity
of your greatness!
So whether you eat or drink or do anything else, do everything for the glory of God.
There are those who consider one day more sacred than another; There are those who consider every day the same. Everyone must be fully convinced in their own mind. He who considers it a special day for the Lord does so. He who eats meat for the Lord eats, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains for the Lord abstains, and gives thanks to God.

your faithfulness remains
for all generations.

“Celebrate the festival of weeks, on the occasion of the first fruits of the wheat harvest, and the festival of the closing of the harvest, at the end of the year.
“Also celebrate the festival of the huts for seven days, after you gather the produce from the threshing floor and the grape pressing tank.
Therefore, do not allow anyone to judge you by what you eat or drink, or in relation to any religious festival or the celebration of new moons or the Sabbath days.
Yes, great things the Lord has done for us,
so we are happy.
Do not be afraid, O earth;
rejoice and be glad.
The Lord has done great things!
