AZIEL – Encyclopedic Dictionary of Bible and Theology

Aziel (Heb. ‘A5î’êl, “my strength is God” or “God strengthens”). Levite musician of the 20th degree at the time of David (1Ch 15:20). Many commentators identify it with the Jaaziel* of v 18 and the Jeiel of 16:5. See Jeiel 3.
