Anxiety – excess of the future

Some say that anxiety is too much of the future, depression is too much of the past and stress is too much of the present.

Do you agree that the existence of the Universe depends on finely tuned laws, on very precise parameters without which all reality around it would disintegrate?
Looking at the starry sky leads your mind to the strange conclusion that if there is a mechanism, a watch, there must be a watchmaker? But, if the Watchmaker does not exist; If there is no something or someone who created everything and who manages everything, above all, what meaning would your life have?

What hope would there be for the Universe itself? If the Earth were not destroyed by a solar storm or humans did not end up becoming extinct in an insane war, ultimately either the Universe would collapse, being crushed in on itself, or it would expand indefinitely, consuming all the energy. , being unable to keep any being alive. Would living be an illusion?

Most people avoid thinking about this precisely because they don’t want to live in illusion. However, they end up doing precisely what they want to avoid: they live on illusions, on momentary pleasures, on fleeting achievements, on artificial dreams invented by the cinema, games and entertainment industries. Divine therapy

Anxiety comes from fear of the future. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. Only God knows the future. This has led many people to place their faith and trust in the Almighty who loves and protects those who accept Him. Divine treatment has three aspects:

Individual – The person needs to exert influence over their inner life, reflecting on the fact that life is not just about being born, living and dying. This reflection opens up space for a perspective that goes beyond the here and now. It includes understanding the destiny of the human family and especially God’s plan for eternal salvation as explained in the Bible. This also helps a person gain a long-term perspective that gives him confidence in the victory of good over evil. As an immediate aid measure, divine therapy uses reflection on clear and powerful biblical verses, such as: “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right, but nothing will reach you” (Psalm 91: 7).

Social – It is not only through community worship and the words of other people that God can intervene. He also does this by example and the attitude that these people demonstrate. The Holy Spirit can use these people to do his “therapy”. Finally, it would be good to say that God can also use qualified professionals capable of using techniques and strategies that can be blessed by God to have an effect.

Divine – The divine aspect encompasses the personal relationship between the human being and God. He finds his greatest support in prayer. Prayer, more than repeating phrases, consists of talking to God as a friend and counselor; It means talking about fears, anxieties, doubts and problems, as well as thanking the Creator for the good things in life. Sincere prayer has helped many to grow in faith, which is incompatible with anxiety and uncertainty. Faith, in reality, means trust in God. The more we know God, through prayer and Bible study, the more we develop this trust and the more our faith grows.

Biblical Anxiolytics

“The Lord himself will go before you and be with you; He will never leave you, never forsake you. Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!” (Deuteronomy 31:8).

“Was it not I who commanded you? Be strong and brave! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

“When anxiety already dominated me within, Your comfort brought relief to my soul” (Psalm 94:19). “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My victorious right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).

“Do not worry about your own life, what to eat or drink; nor with your own body, as to what to wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor store in barns; yet the heavenly Father feeds them. Don’t you have much more value than them?” (Matthew 6:25, 26).
