Verses to bless children

The children that God gives us are a great blessing. They bring joy to our hearts and make us see life from another perspective. Children are also an immense responsibility. We must love them, care for them, watch over their well-being and guide them in the way of the Lord.

One of the most precious gifts we can give our children is to speak words of blessing over them. The following verses will help you pray and speak words of encouragement and blessing for those very special people that God has placed in your life.

But Jesus called the children and said: Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them, because the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like them.
(Luke 18:16)

and keep you
the Lord look at you with pleasure
and extend his love to you;
may the lord show you his favor
and grant you peace.
