ADVERB anaxios (ajnaxivw”, 371) is used in 1Co 11:27, of partaking of the Lord’s Supper unworthily; that is, treating it as a common meal, the bread and the cup as common things, not being aware of their solemn symbolic meaning. In the mss. commonly accepted is not found in v. 29, where it does occur in TR.¶ B. Adjective anaxios (ajnavxio”, 370), (a, privative; n, euphonic; axios, worthy), used in 1Co 6:2: Modern Greek means “incapable” .A¶
