The Judgment card in the Tarot

The Major Arcana The Judgment of the Tarot shows the image of an angel in heaven with a trumpet, with which he announces that it is the moment of the resurrection of the dead. Three nude characters emerge from a tomb. The trial confronts them with an examination of conscience of their past actions, for which they will be judged.

The arcanum The Judgment refers to the expiation of guilt, the rebirth and the transcendence of the paternal and maternal bond. It speaks of moments of evaluation and revision of the actions of one’s own life and alludes to good news and the acquisition of criteria or judgement.

In short, The Judgment is related to a new philosophy of life, with the resurgence, with the tests passed and it can be a sign of promotion or popularity. It is the arcane of renewal, of starting over.

When it comes out inverted it can be a sign of bad news, conviction, guilt, lost trials, inability to understand past events, divorce, criticism, failure, bad reputation, dismissal, delays and lack of judgment.
