The footprints in the sand, the footprints of the Lord, reflection
One night I had a dream
I dreamed that I was walking on the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one mine and the other from the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked again at the footprints in the sand.
I realized that many times along the path of my life
there was only one set of footprints.

and I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most difficult moments of my life,
there is only one set of footprints;
I don’t understand why when I needed you the most you left me”.
The Lord replied: “My daughter, precious, precious daughter of mine,
I love you and I will never leave you.
In your moments of trial and suffering,
when you only see a pair of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

The Lord will always walk with you,
by the blessed beach of life.
His footprint, there next to yours,
always within your reach.

from sunrise to sunset.
However, there may come a day, my son,
in which you will only see a footprint.
But do not think that the Lord has left you,
