the fire burning

The Lit Fire of the Holy Spirit is the anointing that every believer receives when he seeks the Lord with all his heart and soul. But any Christian can obtain this blessing if his faith has not waned and if he has maintained his fellowship with God.

The burning fire of the Holy Spirit

We are currently living in the time of restoration of all things, where the gospel is being made known to all the nations of the world. Therefore, the kindled fire of the Holy Spirit will likewise be restored, building up each person, each nation and in each church.

Through history we can observe how the Lord distributed the fire of the Holy Spirit to some of his servants; but the Lord has revealed that in these last days Jesus Christ will pour out the fire of the Holy Spirit on many of the believers and this will be a real revival and a fact that never happened.

When speaking of the fire of the Holy Spirit, it does not refer to a special power that we will receive, apart from the Spirit of God, but it means that we will have a greater filling of the Holy Spirit.

I invite you to read:

Igniting the fire of the Holy Spirit refers to spiritual growth and that is why we need to be filled with this fire every day in order to obtain the blessings that God has for each of his children.

When the Fire of the Holy Spirit ignites – 5 important factors

The ignited fire of the Holy Spirit is poured out on believers who seek it with all their heart and soul, and it can also manifest itself in a surprising way in the churches and in the nations where the Lord is praised and adored. There are different factors that manage to ignite this fire, such as:

1.- Repentance

Before we can receive the ignited fire of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we must cleanse ourselves and repent from our hearts of all our sins. For this we must accept our mistakes and ask God to purify us and make us new creatures in Christ Jesus.

“And who will be able to endure the time of his coming? or who will be able to stand when he appears? For he is like a purifying fire, and like launderers’ soap. And he will sit down to refine and clean the silver; for he will purify the sons of Levi, refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring an offering to Jehovah in righteousness.” (Malachi 3:2-3)

In this quote we can notice that Malachi declares he is declaring that Jesus Christ is like a purifying fire and that he will cleanse the silver, since he will cleanse the sons of Levi, which refers to the priests, where from the new covenant they are the believers of the Lord .

In this sense, we cannot ask without first being clean in the presence of God. We cannot approach God with dirty and stained garments, since in order to activate the power and fan the flame of the Holy Spirit, we need to leave behind our past life and clothe ourselves with the new man.

Let the world die and live for Christ. Redeeming ourselves does not mean that we will be perfect and that we will not commit sins, on the contrary, we will always be tempted by the enemy to sin.

However, as children of God we must repent every day for our failures, even for hidden sins. In this way, the ignited fire of the Holy Spirit will descend on us and will manifest itself in our lives in a supernatural way.

Jesus Christ cleanses each one of his children and to do so, he first leads them through the spiritual desert, and allows them to go through the fire of different trials, pain, and difficult moments, in order to purify them. For this reason, the Bible says the following:

“Because it is time for judgment to begin at the house of God; And if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17)

This quote exhorts us that we must be clean for God’s judgment and obey his word, doing his will. Cleaning ourselves means renewing our lives completely and daily. It is useless to cleanse ourselves and then contaminate ourselves again.

Jesus Christ cleanses us of all sin and purifies us, he is taking out all the bad things, what ties us to this world, carnal desires, our weaknesses, among others. Finally, it seeks that we be the image and reflection of Jesus Christ, that we are equal to him and that our hearts are ready and willing to receive the ignited fire of the Holy Spirit.

In the Bible we can find how different biblical characters were purified by the Lord. Such is the case of Isaiah, who saw the Lord and realized his sins and God purified him with a lit coal that he took from the altar. This is witnessed in the following passage:

“Then I said: Woe is me! that I am dead; for being a man with unclean lips, and dwelling in the midst of people that have unclean lips, my eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts. And one of the seraphim flew towards me, having in his hand a live coal, taken from the altar with tongs; and touching it to my mouth, he said: Behold, this touched your lips, and your guilt is taken away, and your sin cleansed.” (Isaiah 6:5-7)

In this way, any believer can and should be cleansed and purified by the Lord in order to receive the lit fire of the Holy Spirit and be recognized as a child of God.

On the other hand, we must consider that Malachi referred to the Lord as a purifying fire, which also sanctifies. But there is a difference between the consuming fire that destroys sinners, and the fire that purifies the children of God. In this regard, the word warns us the following:

“Understand therefore today that it is Jehovah your God who passes before you like a consuming fire, who will destroy and humble them before you; and thou shalt drive them out, and destroy them at once, as Jehovah hath spoken unto thee.” (Deuteronomy 9:3)

In this way, the ignited fire of the Holy Spirit will redeem the children of God and pour out all power to them, while the disobedient and sinners will be consumed by this fire. For this reason it is important to repent and purify yourself every day.

2.- The prayer

The lit fire of the Holy Spirit becomes present in the lives of believers through prayer. In the Bible, Elijah prayed and fire fell, as can be seen in the word:

“Answer me, Jehovah, answer me, so that this people may know that you, O Jehovah, are God, and that you turn their hearts back to you. Then fire fell from the LORD, and he consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and he even licked up the water that was in the trench.” (1 Kings 18:37-38).

You can read:

In this quote God teaches us that to kindle the fire of the Holy Spirit we must give ourselves to him from the heart and give him all the glory and all the honor. If we do not pray or seek his face, we will not receive the wonderful anointing that he has for each of his children.

3.- Seek the Lord

To receive the lit fire of the Holy Spirit we must seek it every day, when we get up and when we go to bed, just as the word says: “And we shall know, and continue to know the Lord; His departure is ready as the dawn, and he will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth ” (Hos 6:3).

In this sense, the fire of the Lord will be poured out on the life of each one of us if we seek it at all times, if we watch, pray, read the word and are prepared for the good fight, which is purely spiritual and not carnal.

But we do not fight this battle by our own strength, but rather through his Divine Spirit, from that fire that spills out every time his presence floods our environment, our life, activating his power and manifesting it through prodigies, miracles. , and wonderful events that will be revealed to the extent that we glorify and exalt him.

Seeking the Lord implies a commitment, a surrender. It is a discipline that every believer must adopt if he really wants to receive that fire lit in his life and manifest it in every ministry that is at the service of the Lord.

A ministry must be filled with that kindled fire of the Holy Spirit so that it can be effective and so that its power can be activated, saving lost souls, healing the sick, giving comfort to the afflicted, freeing the oppressed, among many other manifestations.

In this way, the rain of the Spirit descends on believers if we seek the Lord from the heart. So the more we know him, the more filled with the Spirit we are. In recent times, God has promised to pour out the Holy Spirit from him, which will fall like rain.

It’s time to fan the fire of the Holy Spirit

Currently we can see that the biblical signs that announce the second coming of the Lord have begun to manifest. Therefore, the end of the world is near and we must fan the fire of the Holy Spirit in our lives and redeem ourselves in the presence of the Supreme, as the word demands: “When these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is near” (Luke 21:28).

In this quote we can see that when the signs appear, we must be prepared and redeem ourselves before the Lord, repent and purify ourselves every day. In the same way we must prepare ourselves for the encounter with the Lord, where we will be taken away and our bodies will be glorified.

In the final days God reveals that the end of the world has arrived, and it is the moment before the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ to this world. At that time, the children will be taken away, but the rest of humanity will have to go through the Great Tribulation, in which very unfortunate and catastrophic events will occur.

For this reason the church, which is the people of Christ, must wake up and prophesy these facts to alert humanity, so that they can repent and accept the Lord as their only true savior. We can observe this prophecy in the book of Matthew 25:12-13:

“But he, answering, said: Verily I say to you, that I do not know you. Watch therefore, for you do not know the day or the hour that the Son of Man is coming.”

This quote exhorts us to be prepared for his coming because we do not know the exact moment when he will come. So we have to watch and be alert because the enemy wants to divert us and separate us from the Lord.

In this way, as believers we must rise up and be intercessors and create prayer groups to break the chains that bind us to this world, and look more for the spiritual part, seek to fan the fire that the Holy Spirit gives us.

Jesus Christ does not want any soul to be lost, but to have eternal life, and for this, we as children of God have the mission of making the gospel reach all nations, bringing them the message of salvation and bringing conviction of sins upon all. and regret.

It is also important to reveal the prophecies to alert the people to rise up and wake up to fight the good fight. Giving the Lord the final harvest before his second coming and the rapture of his children.
