Then a war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought the dragon; this and his angels, in turn, faced them,

but they could not overcome, and there was no longer a place for them in heaven.

Thus the great dragon was expelled, that ancient serpent called Devil and Satan, and who deceives the whole world. Along with his angels, he was cast down to earth.
