metroloas, or metraloas (mhtralwv/a”, 3389), (to put, mother, and aloiao, to wound, to hit) the term denotes matricide (1Ti 1:9 “matricicides”); however, it is possible that it has the broader meaning of “wounders” or “beaters”, as it does in cases outside the NT.¶
