LODEBAR – Encyclopedic Dictionary of Bible and Theology

Lodebar (Heb. Lô Debâr and Lô’ Debâr, perhaps “without grass”). Place in Gilead (2Sa 17:27) where Mephibosheth, son of Jonathan, lived (9:4, 5). It has been identified with Umm ed-Dabar, about 13 km south of the Sea of ​​Galilee. Some identify it with the Debir of Josh 13:26. See Debir 4.
