Son of Abraham and Cetura, and father of Sheba and Bedán (Gn. 25.2–3; 1 Chr. 1.32). This name is sometimes supposed to be another form of *Joktan (Gen. 10:25-29; 1 Chr. 1:19-23), but in genealogical lists a distinction is made between those bearing these names.
