“God Is Not Dead 2” more than a movie is a reality – CHRISTIAN NEWS

The movie God Is Not Dead returns with a second part that challenges faith even more. Part of the cast believes that this new film shows a reality that is already being experienced in the United States and in many parts of the world.

Strengthening faith is a primary theme in this new project from Pure Flix Entertainment.

Melissa Joan Hart, the film’s lead actress, told Mundo Cristiano that this film strengthened her faith.

“I grew up Catholic and went to church. But in recent years, especially when I became a mother, I have frequented Bible studies. This has not stopped for me and I keep walking. And being in contact with these apologetics professors that we had on set and just having the opportunity to talk about Bible verses, it was a lesson for me,” she commented.

Jessie Metcalfe, the defense attorney for the Christian Grace Wesley on the tape, also spoke about this.

“Definitely for me it was also a lesson, I don’t know if it strengthened my faith because I am definitely a person of faith. But, I do think it opened my mind to some of the things that are going on in our country and specifically to the issue of tolerance and understanding the Christian perspective,” he stated.

In times of presidential elections in the United States, David AR White, the producer of the film, believes that religious freedom should be one of the main issues on the political agenda of the current candidates for the presidency.

“I think so, I think that’s a great question, the debate on that and a lot of the candidates go to churches and talk about their beliefs. Obviously, it’s an individual thing for each voter, how important this is. But certainly, it’s important to us as well,” she said.

God Is Not Dead 2 a film that confronts the faith of those who believe in Jesus. The actors and actresses of this new film parade on the red carpet. Many believe that this project will break records more than the first film.

Like the first film, the new film is based on real life events. The film project focuses on 25 cases of threats to religious freedom.

“I think that in our country there is a lot of discrimination regarding religious freedom and that is why we want to shine a light. The first tape was about the existence of God, this one is more about Jesus Christ and who he is, as a son of God, and as a great teacher. It is a glimpse of what is happening in our country. I think there are many people who see the film and most remain silent, but that does not change anything, you have to speak, you have to stand up for what you believe and what is right, “said David AR White.

Do you consider that the problem of the film is something that is going to happen or is happening in the United States?

“Well unfortunately yes, it is happening a lot, in the past and it continues to happen. And I think that one should respect other people in what they believe and what they think about faith and political things. Because we are free human beings and in order to exist together in the world we have to have that respect,” said María Canals Barrera, who plays Catherine Thawley.

Michael Tait, lead singer of Newsboys, gives some proposals to improve the right to religious freedom.

“All I can do is believe, pray and love people. I am not in the position to judge or say you need this or that, God is the one who judges. Religious freedom in the United States and democracy must be very important. As a believer my job is to love people, help the poor, help everyone I can regardless of the color of their skin, like in Costa Rica a woman as beautiful as you, an American, a black, a white, bone everyone,” he said.

Harold Cronk, the film’s director, tells us how the two productions are different.

“I think one of the biggest differences is the focus of the film. In the first film we talked about the rights of students to defend their beliefs in the classroom. In the second one the focus is on a whole system, so I think we’re seeing some religious beliefs start to fade in our country today,” he explained.

Some guests at the premiere of God’s Not Dead 2, told us why you have to see the film…

“I think they have to see this encouraging movie, which will give them firmness in what they believe, and that they will be able to show it to a friend who may not believe in what they believe and explain certain things that they may not know. feel very comfortable explaining,” said Adam Agee, a member of the musical band Audio Adrenaline.

“I think God’s Not Dead 2 is so much more than a movie, it’s a real message, it’s a real inspiration for those who are in the faith and those who are not,” said Sadie Robertson, who plays Marlene.
