ARARITA – Encyclopedic Dictionary of Bible and Theology

Ararita (Heb. hârârî, “man of Harar” or “highlander”). Name of several brave men of David (2Sa 23:11, 33; 1Ch 11:34, 35). No place is known by the name of Harar. Therefore, perhaps it should be understood to mean a mountain man, or mountain man.
