It can be very easy to worry about things when you travel, such as security, missed flights, lost luggage, etc. Not to mention the change in weather, from snow storms to hurricanes. What should be a fun and relaxing time can turn into a time of constant stress and worry. How do we overcome this whirlwind of emotions? Praying for a safe trip and return and trusting in the Lord. Dear Sir,
I pray for a safe ride in our car today. I ask that no unexpected mechanical or tire problems occur. Please keep us safe on these crowded roads, as well as the others we share it with. As a driver, give me insight into when to take breaks so I don’t push myself to the limit. Release your angels to surround us and protect us until we reach our final destination. In your name, I pray. Amen.

What the Bible says about safety
Traveling during the holidays can bring a lot of worry and anxiety. What if we fall apart? What happens if we puncture a tire? What if we get stranded out of nowhere? What if we get lost? Even with all of our modern conveniences like cell phones, GPS, and services like Onstar, anxiety can still set in. Still, we must trust above all else that the Lord will keep us safe. Here are some verses to keep in mind when the worry and anxiety of traveling becomes too much.
My God is my rock. He is my shield, the power that saves me and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:3 (NLT)

So the Lord provided someone to rescue the Israelites from the Arameans. Then Israel returned to live safely, as he had in previous days. 2 Kings 13:5 (NLT)
We will begin our road trips as we do any other journey in life, trusting in the Lord to guide us, guide us and keep us safe. With him, we can never get lost and we will always find our way back home.
