Jesus Resurrected the Son of the Widow of Nain | Luke 7:11-17

LUKE 7:11-18. When the Lord saw the poor widow following her son to her grave, he had compassion on her. See here the power of Christ over death itself.

The gospel calls all people, especially young people: Rise from the dead, and Christ will enlighten you. When Christ gave him life, it was seen why the young man sat down. Do we have the grace of Christ? Let’s show it. He began to speak: Every time Christ gives spiritual life, he opens his lips in prayer and praise.

When dead souls are raised to spiritual life by the divine power of the gospel, we are to glorify God, and regard it as a gracious visit to his people.

Let us seek to have such an interest in our compassionate Savior, that we may look forward with joy to the time when the voice of the Redeemer will call to all who are in the graves. May we be called to the resurrection of life, not to damnation.
