Mind’s power

Mind’s power it is one of the great wonders that God has created to develop us in this world. The mind is linked with the spirit, soul and heart of the person. Through the Holy Scriptures we can see the power of God, since it can change our mind and totally transform us.

I invite you to read:

The Power of the Mind – What does it mean?

The mind has a very important role in emotions and making our decisions. The mind of man constitutes all that we are and everything we do, that’s where all the scientific advances come from.

In this way, the quality of the mind is incomparable and the Lord is the scientist of scientists, since he is the creator of all things and makes things possible with his Power.

To understand the power of the mind It is important to know what the mind consists of and how it can direct our actions and how it can be projected in the achievement of objectives.

In this order of ideas, the mind refers to an organization of a person’s mental processes or psychic activities. It is the set of conscious and unconscious processes of the person that influence and drive mental and physical behavior.

Secondly, the mind is the faculty of understanding and understanding, as opposed to emotions. It is also considered as the part of the brain where mental activity resides and allows us to understand, feel, reason, know, remember, think, react and adapt to the environment and to internal and external stimuli.

In the Bible we can find that in the Old Testament the term “heart” is presented to us in comparison with the word “mind” and both are related to the verbs “know”, “know”.

As can be seen in the following biblical passage: “Recognize also in your heart, that as a man punishes his son, so Jehovah your God punishes you.” (Deuteronomy 8:5)

On the other hand, we find in the word that we are told about the mind and the heart separately: “I am the Lord, who searches the mind, who tests the heart, to give to each according to his way, according to the fruit of his works” (Jeremiah 17:10)

In this way, in this passage he speaks to us of the Power of God who knows everything about us, search our mindthoughts, soul, heart, spirit, that is, he has total control of us, so we cannot hide what is in us because only he can know perfectly.

The power of the mind – A powerful weapon to tear down strongholds

The power of the mind is a powerful weapon that we can use to create great things and do wonders in this world. Nevertheless, the mind is very attacked by satan and we are constantly being bombarded with darts in which our mind is threatened.

For this reason it is important as Christians to know that our struggle is dailybut this battle is not with the people around us, but with the spiritual world of darkness, in which we find ourselves immersed.

In this regard, the word tells us in this passage the following: “For although we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh; For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for the destruction of strongholds, tearing down arguments and all haughtiness that stands against the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:3 -5)

In this sense, we must give our mind to God and his obedience. In this way our mind will be focused on the things of the kingdom of heaven and not in the things of the world.

So, believers have been armed in his word with a whole armor that is described in the following passage and which we must use when facing the adversary:

“Therefore, take the whole armor of God, so that you can resist on the bad day, and having finished everything, stand firm. Stand firm, then, with your loins girded with truth, and clothed with the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” (Ephesians 6:13-18)

In this same order of ideas, we have been equipped to destroy any argument that the enemy has against us. So when the adversary wants to attack us, we must keep in mind that our mind is a powerful weapon because God governs it.

On the other hand, the enemy will always attack you, especially if you find yourself weak in faithTherefore, you must have a daily communion with God so that you are always strengthened and can fight with the powerful weapons that the word gives you, where the mind plays an important role in tearing down those strongholds that want to divert you from the purpose that God has for each One of his sons.

It is important to highlight that as believers we must take care of the things we see, hear and speak, and for this we must scrutinize the word because in it we will find the truth.

is ours encouragement in the middle of the test and represents the voice of God, which will allow us to lead our steps in righteousness and justice. Therefore, in the Bible we can find verses that will help us control our mind and lead it to the obedience of Christ, as can be seen in this passage:

“destroying speculations and all haughty reasoning that stands against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

In this way, we must put our thoughts before our Father and try to keep ourselves watching to prevent the enemy from interfering and meddling in our plans.

When we put our thoughts into practice, this can be a great blessing or a great curse, since what is taken into action is first thought and planned. So we must not underestimate the enemy and be attentive to the things that are in our environment and that can be anathemas in our spiritual life. Which prevents us from feeling the presence of the Lord.

In this sense, the word indicates that we have the mind of christ, and this refers to the fact of being psyched up and having knowledge about who we are in Christ Jesus and the authority we have over our main enemy, which is Satan and his demons. As his word indicates:

“For we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this century, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12)

In this way, the power of the mind it is a weapon that we can use to overcome the snares of our enemy, taking our captive thoughts to the obedience of our Heavenly Father, who is our owner, our Lord, our only way to go.

For this reason, we must give our mind to him and avoid the temptations that the world offers us, in which we are attacked by images, songs, sounds, voices, among other things that do not come from God, but are darts thrown at us by God. enemy to divert us from path of light in which we find ourselves.

So the adversary, which is Satan and his demons, seeks to overthrow the perfect plan that God has for his children, he wants at all costs to destroy the work of the Kingdom, and this is a truth that we must internalize so as not to underestimate the enemy and take care of ourselves. what we are seeing, hearing and talking about because the enemy will use any strategy to make us fall into evil networks.

But as children of God we are sealed with the Holy Spiritwho leads us to all truth and this leads us to the correct path that is Christ Jesus, a path from which we must not stray so as not to give the devil entry into our lives, but rather by driving him away with the admirable light that resides in us, since we are called to be light in the midst of darkness:

“For in another time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (because the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, justice and truth)” (Ephesians 5:8-9)

So we must be clear who our enemy is, since we are not fighting directly with people but against an entire evil and perverse spiritual world that wants to destroy humanity.

What are the states of mind according to the bible

The mind is a very powerful weapon. that we can use to defeat the world of darkness that is constantly lurking against the people of Christ.

However, the mind in its entirety is a mystery and contains certain states that we must analyze to understand it even more:

1.- Vain Mind

The term “vain” refers to an adjective that means empty, useless, incapable, has no seed, lacks foundation. So when a person has a vain mind, he will always be focused on his own opinion, criteria, ego.

In the same way your mind wanders in messy thoughts, empty, meaningless. In this regard, the word tells us the following:

“This, then, I say and require in the Lord: that you no longer walk like other Gentiles, who walk in the vanity of their minds.” (Ephesians 4:17)

2.- Failed mind

The reprobate mind It is one that does not take into account God and neither his commandments and principles: “And since they did not approve of keeping God in mind, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do things that are not convenient” (Romans 1:28)

Taking into account what the biblical passage in the letter to the Romans tells us, a reprobate mind does not discern what is good, what is bad because it cannot differentiate what comes from God:

“But the natural man does not perceive the things that are from the Spirit of God, because for him they are madness, and he cannot understand them, because they have to be discerned spiritually.” (1Corinthians 2:14)

In this way, a person who has a reprobate mind can easily commit all kinds of shameful acts because they have lost their fear of Jehovah. So this person is submerged in the deceitful desires of the enemy, since his mind is reprobate.

3.- Darkened mind

When speaking of the darkened mind, an allusion is made to the darkened mindand this has to do with the world of darkness because it is blinded, submerged in vanity and does not give place to the presence of God.

“This then I say and require in the Lord: that you no longer walk like other Gentiles, who walk in the vanity of their minds, having their understanding darkened, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, the hardness of his heart” (Ephesians 4:17-18)

A darkened mind is spiritually blinded, he lacks light and his understanding is cloudy and darkened because the god of this age, Satan, has separated him from the admirable light that is Christ and therefore his mind is darkened. As the word indicates: “In whom the god of this age has blinded the understanding of unbelievers, so that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ may not shine on them, which is the…
