2Sa 15:30 wearing head covering and feet covered
Isa 20:3 walked .. Isaiah naked and d three years

A sign of mourning or great sorrow was to walk d. (2Sa 15:30; Eze 24:17-23). He was also a penitent (Isa 20:2). Moses was required to remove his shoes when he had the vision of the burning bush (Exo 3:5). Joshua had a similar experience (Jos 5:15). In the event that someone did not want to marry his brother’s widow, “the shoes of his foot” had to be removed (Deu 25:7-10), as happened in the case of the relative of Elimelech who did not want to marry Ruth (Ruth 4:7-8).
